Re: Sore Hands?
I had the same issue when I first started shooting. My first gun was an LCP. I finally rented a Kahr P 380 and a Sig P238. The Sig was love at first shot and I bought one within a week. I couldn't shoot more than a few mags of the LCP without being really sore, but with my Sig I can shoot a few hund...

Re: As if choosing a holster wasnt hard enough...
Best thing to do. It makes carrying in public so much easier after getting the plastic when you're used to carrying at home. Plus you can do frequent mirror checks to be sure you're properly concealed, that way you won't feel constantly exposed in public or pull on your clothes all the time.

Re: As if choosing a holster wasnt hard enough...
I realize this is an older thread, so please forgive me for resurrecting it.... I have a Cross Breed IWB holster on the way that I can use around the house till my CHL arrives. I was wondering if anyone has tried both the Femme Fatale corset holster and the Flash Bang, and which did you prefer? I w...

Re: 4 Dodge Charger men rob McDonald's in NW Houston
I hadn't heard about this new houston law. So they won't be able to say whether it was a man or a woman committing the crime??? Next they'll change the story from "a man was arrested after robbing a gas station" to "a person was put in time out after they borrowed money from a place.&...

Re: stuff following me home again
Haha! I'm the one dragging stuff home in my marriage. If not dragging it home then I'm at least hounding the hubs until he let's me buy it. The latest is a kel tec p32 that I HAVE to have for when I go walking since my sig is too heavy to wear with workout clothes. I have a few other things in mind ...

Re: How NOT to handle a loaded firearm-from the Expert
I let my 7 year old watch it with me and paused it to point out the safety issues and what you should never ever do. Plus this guy just seems like he thinks he has it all figured out. Sure, the only possible reason to have your gun in a secure holster, whether it has a strap or not (I'd like to see ...

Re: Is Open Carry Activism Threatening our CHL rights.
Civilians with firearms are portrayed on television and in the movies with a largely negative connotation that will always be slanting public opinion. Agreed. But it's not just TV and movies. It's media as a whole. What's one of the reasons we are having to work so hard to protect our 2nd amendment...

Re: Having doubts, is a CHL even worth it anymore?
I was the same as the OP for a while. My husband and I were going to take the class together a year or so ago, but I decided not to because I just couldn't see myself carrying. I don't watch the news much but some stories had caught my attention and I started watching a bit more. I quickly realized ...

Re: First carry successful
I feel that way sometimes still. But for me is because as a woman I worry about many of the different styles of clothes I wear. My husband did tell me a few stares to late that the dress i wrote to church with a Flash bang holster left a noticing bulge where the grip poked out a bit. That's ok thoug...

Re: Is Open Carry Activism Threatening our CHL rights.
Why would anyone think a big display like that would calm anyone's fears about guns whether OC or CC? I am a proud gun owner/concealed carrier but that'd scare the mess out of even me! Like I've said before, I think we should have the right to OC, but in my opinion, let the anti's believe that the p...

Re: Looking for a small 9mm
I'm near Houston. I'll update when I can later. Anyhow, I've shot the p238 but wasn't sure about it. May give it another try. I'm also considering getting a kel tec p32 solely for thigh carry when I have no where to out the sig. The sig is just too heavy.

This is an entirely different issue. I doubt people fear that a homosexual person will use their homosexuality against others to cause bodily injury. Even anyone who is adamantly against that.

Re: Is Open Carry Activism Threatening our CHL rights.
I think we should be able to open carry because I believe is our right. Would I do it? No. I agree with what others have said before me. I have several friends that aren't antigun but the idea of someone carrying a gun next to them at the store, even church freaks them out. It doesn't have to be som...

Re: March 2014 Applications
I'm glad I learned how to make leather holsters. Now I can get a new gun and not have to wait weeks for a holster. I made my husband's holster just days after he got his glock 19.
