Can’t vouch for this website as I don’t even know what language it’s in, but you get the drift of it. It's Swedish. There is a tab ...

Re: The importance of Pre-existing Knowledge for SD

Let your attorney do your talking for you. :iagree: That's the thought I've had since the first post. If you're the defendant in a criminal trial and you're on the stand, you've proven two points. 1. You're a fool. 2. You hired a fool for an attorney. :iagree: Shut up, Lawyer up. Over & out.

Perfect. So please provide your risk assessment comparing the potential, as well actual, reliability failures across the two platforms based on recorded, verified lifetime field data. That would be highly instructive. And rest assured, I did not assume that your derogatory comment regarding "f...

Re: Gun-handling - Ken Hackathorn and Bill Wilson go off

While the barrel lugs on a Glock don't take as much of a beating, they still get one and will show signs of damage after enough empty slide releases. The takedown lever "fix" only transfers the stress (and eventual damage) from the takedown lever to the locking block and frame. I saw a pr...

Re: CZ P-01

CZ's are the most accurate handguns I own. The P-01 compact is very close in size and capacity to G19, although obviously the all metal construction is heavier and finding holsters is not as easy as it is for Glock. There are really nice, easily interchangeable grip sets out there and while the DA/...

Re: Gun-handling - Ken Hackathorn and Bill Wilson go off

As Hackathorn pointed out, the Glock is a different type of mechanism and nowhere near as precise as that on a custom 1911. But as was pointed out just after that by Bill wilson- the barrel lug really takes a beating... that's not precise nor 1911 specific. In fact he specifically mentioned that in...

Re: Gun-handling - Ken Hackathorn and Bill Wilson go off

Then don't take your 1911's to a gun show and openly display them. The point is about people mishandling firearms through ignorance, whether at a gun show or elsewhere. They're simply recounting their recent experience which happened to be at a gun show. And while I also do not use the slide releas...

Re: EU: Jewish group asks EU to allow Jews to carry guns for protection

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said that while guns could help Jews defend themselves against an individual attack, only authorities can protect them against a mass attack like those carried out in France.
The Rabbi should stick to what he knows IMHO.

Re: Gun-handling - Ken Hackathorn and Bill Wilson go off

I'd be upset if someone mishandled my inexpensive 1911 RIA; I don't see this as elitist in the slightest. So Wilson took his expensive custom 1911's to the NRA show and then got upset when they were handled? No, they were upset when the guns were being mishandled , big difference. As he pointed out...
