Re: HB47: Reduction of Class Hours for Initial CHL

:tiphat: I feel the 10 hour Class has a screening value. It evaluated the social interaction factor of the individuals. Yes, the test can be cover in 4 hour. Just my two cents. :headscratch I'm curious about your thoughts (or thoughts from others) about how the social interaction factor gets evalua...

Re: HB47: Reduction of Class Hours for Initial CHL

Charles. Outside of contacting our Representatives and voting in this poll, is there something we could be doing to counter the one sided feedback being given now? Thank you. Not answering for Chas.... What is your position as I am a little confused on your statement "counter the one sided fee...

Re: Guitar advice

I have been playing for about 25 years. If you're looking for a single electric to play and want good variety, you have two choices (IMO). You've mentioned one, the Les Paul. I own a Les Paul (2006 model I think) Studio Custom. It is an awesome guitar. The other is the Stratocaster. I've owned both...

As many different types of sounds as possible and everything from rock to country to blues to bluegrass).

Narrowed your choice down to Strat IMO.

Re: Anybody else order a Crossbreed holster lately?

I know this is a Crossbreed thread (and I don't want to hijack it) but I ordered a Kydex belt and an IWB mag pouch from Comp Tac on Friday. Got a note from them this morning telling my order was going into production within 24 hours and their current production times are "about 5 business days&...

Re: Guitar advice

Kind of freaked me out to see a guitar question on a gun site (thought I was on a different forum for a minute)... I have been playing for about 25 years. Re: Anybody else order a Crossbreed holster lately?

They tell me you're supposed to order a holster at the same time you send your CHL application. Yeah I meant to. I just procrastinated and was torn between supertuck and the comp tac minotaur. When I finally decided on which one I was gonna get, my background was already under review. What made you...

Re: Anybody else order a Crossbreed holster lately?

:iagree: I agree on the Comp Tac MTAC. Awesome holster made by Texans. Multiple adjustments for ride height and cant. Good choices for colors and types of leather as well. They also have a model called the Spartan for a little less money (a few less frills but the same functionality). They are maint...

Re: Tactipac Holsters Gone Silent

I checked all my order information and never got a phone number. Your advice about not ordering from a company without business credentials is sound. In hind sight, I should have adopted the same policy. I did check them out with a few forums and review sites and they seemed to be on track with deli...

Tactipac Holsters Gone Silent

Good morning. I wanted to see if anyone on the forum is in the same boat I'm in right now. I hope this doesn't violate any rules (I read them and don't believe it does). I ordered a Tactipac Fusion on 7 Jan. The delivery time was quoted as being about 5 weeks. For the first few weeks I got weekly up...

Re: Employer Weapons Policy

I heard of two cases of vehicle break ins with weapons stolen at my former employer in Houston. Both were linked to organized thieves following folks back there after lunchtime visits to firing ranges or gun shops. Both were pickups where the weapon was in the back seat area of the pickup (crew cabs...

I use a Comp Tac MTAC IWB for my XDM9. Also made in Texas with very short manufacture and delivery times (4 days).

Re: Reason you decided to get CHL ?

Because the CHL course and wait for CHL to arrive take less time than arguing an arrest (and appeal of conviction) for carrying "under the 2nd Amendment" all the way to the Supreme Court... :rules: :smash:
