Re: Orlando It has started.

Read "Day of Wrath" by William Forstchen (author of "One Second After"). It will scare you. So realistic. And it is coming. Much more likely than his first book, in the genre, "One Second After", dealing with an EMP. I haven't read that one, but "One Secon...

Re: Gen Petraeus joins with Mark Kelly & Gabby Giffords

Whatever else Petraeus is, he was a great general in Iraq and later Afghanistan. Having said that, my perception is that most officer, Colonel and above, are anti-gun and anti second amendment. The military is not a democratic organization and most high level officers do not trust their own soldier...

Re: TX: Houston homeowner murdered running for help in home invasion

A firearm is only one of a number of options for defense of the home. It just happens to be the easiest and likely most effective option. Something as simple as a knife or a spear can get the job done if necessary. I think even felons can own a black powder revolver, but I am not sure if there are ...

You can almost hear the liberals/progressives in the northwest talking about how awful and demeaning the picture is to the "poor child" roped and tied to a tree.

Re: The Conversation About War and Our Veterans We Refuse to Have

Very sobering read. My father fought in WW2 - across Africa, France and Germany. He was never able to talk to his children about what he had seen and done. Same here, but Iwo Jima. It took most of my life to piece it together. He talked more about it in the last two years of his life than in the pr...

Re: Mass Shooting at Orlando Nightclub

More and more it's apparent that you don't want to be caught anywhere, at any time, under any circumstance in a gun-free zone. That doesn't just mean nightclubs, but at these holier-than-thou "progressive" establishments like Half-Brained Books, Sprouts, Toby "Not Really a Cowboy&quo...

Recognition of self-hypocrisy isn't a strong attribute of progressives/liberals.

Re: Dallas Love Field shooting caught on video

Rock violence - need more regulations on rock possession!

But really people - there's shooting in progress and you're strolling down to see it? Good way to have a bad situation get worse by making an officer think someone else is joining the fray.

Re: Peruta En Banc Opinion - Concealed Carry Lost

If any firearm(s) is(are) rendered unlawful to possess, it won't be necessary to send troops to confiscate those guns. Gun owners won't be able to use them, including for self-defense, without facing prosecution. Use your handgun in self-defense, become a felon and go to prison, lose your job, lose...
