Re: South Texas traveling

Thanks for the replies folks. I've been through many of toast check points over the years and not one have I been asked to show my DL/ID, however there's a first for just about anything and I want to be prepared for it. I know their restricted to enforcing federal laws and not so much state laws.

I must say that I wasn't that concerned about people noticing me, nor did I have a chihuahua type appearance. My wife asked are you carrying right ...

Re: April 2014 Applications

Its day 51 and I finally received my first update. Now the part I’m not fully understand is the “Proof of Special Condition”. Now I did put in for the Correctional officer discount and I did put down on my application that I did retire from the US Navy, however I did not send them my DD214, but I d...

Re: April 2014 Applications

This is what I don't understand, me and three other co-workers attended the same CHL class and uploaded our paperwork to DPS within minutes apart from one another. This was 45 days ago and as of today everyone of them has had an update and I am still looking at the same screen, as I did on day one. ...

Re: Drinking while "Carrying"

I pertty much agree with everyone on here about drinking and guns. From what I was told in my CHL class, you do not need to have a CHL to have a gun concealed in your vehicle, but you do need a CHL to carry the gun on your person while in your vehicle. Actually, you do not. All that is required it ...

Re: Shooting Intruder as they retreat?
