Re: How long before renewal shows at DPS?

Sent mine on February 11, updated to recieved on Friday February 22nd. Updated that fingerprints were reviewed yesterday. Now pending background. I'll keep ya posted and hope I get mine before 4/1 otherwise I may have a brief period without license. I may get lucky but cutting it close.

Re: What's the difference between an AR-10 and an AR-15?

Can't get an AR-15 chambered in .308 to the best of my knowledge as the cartridge is too long for the chamber/magazine. Of course I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time nor the last.

Re: CAMPUS CARRY-Colorado Democrat: Women Don’t Need Guns

I generally click on view active topics when reading the forum. Funny that I see this thread right above the thread titled "Houston mom splats bad guy" viewtopic.php?f=26&t=63317. I agree ..women don't need guns, they need assault weapons!

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills

Dang it! Now I can't move home. Oh well, some distance from my liberal sister sister will do use both some good. She can live with her own mess while I enjoy freedom in Texas.

Re: Hokey TV show

Trick was originally created and performed by Penn and Teller with a much better effect. The original was done with a revolver. This is what you get when a hack attempts to recreate an illusion with half the knowledge or talent of the original artist. Made for TV...what do you expect? Magic is a los...

Re: Uncomfortable carrying

I agree with the undershirt comment. I simply cannot carry IWB without an undershirt. I carried a G19/G23 for 5 years until I recently traded my G19 for a G26. While the size difference does not seem significant, it made all the difference in my ability to carry comfortably. I found the extra length...

Re: PC vs. Mac

Been a while since I bought mine. I found my 21.5" for $1000 and looks like they are now at $1299. The 27" starts at $1799 and Apple has done a super job of fixing prices in the market so you won't find much difference in pricing. (Good for Apple, sucks for us). Your best bet is the Apple ...

Re: PC vs. Mac

I have noticed that a lot of folks say a Mac is okay because it can be set up to boot as either a PC or a Mac? So a Mac is okay because it can act like a PC and it only costs three times as much to be able to get around to being a PC. Hmmmmmm :headscratch I think I'll keep the PC for 1/3 the price ...

Re: PC vs. Mac

In that case you should be fine and .doc, .xls, .mdb, etc. is compatible across platforms. Files will open from a jump drive and save just fine from platform to platform. The MS document specifications are not dependent on OS, they are MS Office specific. Someone else mentioned OpenOffice which work...

Re: PC vs. Mac

You will get a lot of emotional back and forth over who is better, who is more secure blah blah blah. MAC is secure and you should take the same precautions you would with your PC. The issue is that the majority of malware, virus, hack attempt target the PC market and thus don't impact us MAC users ...
