Re: Vehicle Gun Safes

I have a small Nano safe in the tool compartment (under the floor) of my SUV. I run the cable through the child seat tether hook. When the compartment is closed, you don't see anything. You could also attach the cable to the seat supports and put it under the seat, but it won't be as hidden if your ...

Re: Has anyone noticed the decline of Texas Gun Trader?

Am I missing your point? There is a "proximity search by zip" option. Or did there used to be something else?

I'd say that is the second most important thing.

The most important thing is to not drop the gun, try to catch it on the way down, have finger hit the bang switch, and shoot yourself. :tiphat:

Agreed!

Re: Best conceal holsters for the bigger guy

As a "wide" guy, I can tell you that the holster is only part of it -- you have to dress for the holster. Be sure to have a sturdy belt. One and one quarter or even one and one half inch wide is great. The double layer belts, like those available from Crossbreed, make a huge difference in ...

I agree with everything except the last word. Don't leave, wait for police.

Re: Windham SRC front sight

Tech Support at Windham Weaponry told me the trick: warm and soften polymer sights in hot water, then tap them into place with a plastic hammer.

Windham SRC front sight

I just bought a Windham Weaponry Carbon Fiber SRC. This is a flat top AR. For iron sights, I purchased Magpul MBUS Front (MAG247) and Rear (MAG248). My problem: the rear sight easily slides onto the rear rail because it has a starting tongue at the charging handle which serves to align and slightly ...

Re: Mrs. Anygun Just Drew Her Weapon...

The Social Security Administration doesn't sell supplemental insurance. If she sent in a postcard and they responded, they were independent insurance sales persons selling a medicare supplement. Real government employees don't have time to drop by in pairs, and they have real identification, with ph...

In the first photo, that looks like something stamped on the left side of the barrel. Can you read it? Have you tried to see if any common cartridges fit the cylinder?

Re: HAVE YOU EVER PULLED YOUR GUN?

Had someone we were watching say "I'm gonna pull a gun on you guys" to my partner and me as he reached into his jacket. When he stared down the wrong end of the barrel of my weapon, he changed his mind. Well that's a cool first post. :coolgleamA: Thanks. I don't talk much unless I have so...

Re: HAVE YOU EVER PULLED YOUR GUN?

What lead up to the confrontation? We were working security at a party. The fellow seemed strange, possibly tipsy, so I was watching him. When he approached us on the far side of my partner, he made the statement. He backed off quickly. It turned out he knew my partner, but was making a very poor j...
