Re: Post Office carry
Reading everyone's posts here have been very informative and almost entertaining. But let me throw this quater into the pot: Shouldn't we use a little caution in what we state we are DOING as CHL holders in this forum as it relates to gray areas of the law? Time has told us that DAs and ADAs love to...

Re: Carry w/o license on apartment property
If you are going from your apt to your car, does your handgun have to stay concealed if *not* carrying under the authority of your CHL? Just another thought on this..... Why would you NOT want to conceal going in and out of your apartment? Unfortunatley, apartments have a nasty habit of making you ...

Charles,
Please put me down for two spots if they are still available. One for me and the wife. We truly appreciate the time you are taking in doing this!

Re: Mini 14 for a Glock 23
Well....I have a Glock 32 which is .357 Sig I rarely carry...BUT it has a factory Glock 23 barrel (.40) that goes with the pistol that has only had around 150 rnds through it. If you could PM or post some pics of the Mini 14 and maybe throw in some extra .223 ammo, we might have a deal here.

Freedom Over Texas (Houston)
Now, for the past 5 years we have attended "Chevy's Freedom Over Texas" I have carried every time without giving it a second thought since it falls under no legal restrictions. For some reason I just happened to look at the CFOT websire and found that the restrictions portion of the site p...

Re: "30 Days" Season 3, Episode 5 - "Gun Nation"
In all fairness...Morgan Spurlock ( I assume he is liberal minded ) allows the episodes to go in the direction the guests take them. My wife and I are avid viewers of "30 Days" and thouroughly enjoyed "Supersize Me". A lot of people have this preconceived notion that ALL document...

The best reason yet to make sure that you get a good storm door with clear, tempered glass.
Fullview of the person at your door. Shows your "full intention" to protect your home to the person at your door. And it gives your dog(s) a good look as well.

Re: What to buy my wife?
I'd stick with the Glock. Malfunctions with Glocks are few and far between ensuring that you have quality ammo in the magazine. If you (she) are dead set on getting a wheel gun, the 85 line from Taurus is hard to beat for the price. You can get an Ultralite .38spl for under $350 brand new. Great gun...

Or you can just do what I do. Gun goes inside...go to the 1st available stall and put it in the gym bag...get dressed for work-out and bag gets locked into the locker...finish work-out....shower...get dressed...bag goes into the stall with me...re-arm and go on my way. No one sees a thing and I go i...

WTB...Springfield 1911
Looking to buy a Springfield 1911 A1 in good condition. I am partial to the Mil-Spec with added beaver tail or adjustable sites. Will consider any since I can add them later. I have a .38 Super but looking for a slim piece for everyday carry in .45. Willing to spend $450-$700 depending on condition....

New Purchase
I have a 1911 in a Springfield .38 Super, but I am REALLY wanting to be the proud owner of a 1911 in .45. Is there anywhere in Houston (prefer south of I-10) that has a good selection of multiple vendor 1911s to campare? I know that Academy and ProDefense down on this side of town really do not have...
