Re: Orphaned FAL lower
... *lightbulb* Start getting the parts together to build it into a complete rifle again, of course! But of course! What other thoughts could there have been? :txflag: Mais bien sûr! I can't read that phrase without hearing it in my mind with a "Hollywood" French accent so harsh...

If you insert "rich, wearing trashed topsiders" that sounds like most of the private marinas/yacht clubs on the ICW.Abraham wrote:My wife and I found that private RV campgrounds were often loud and filled with drunken louts.

Re: Seatbelt Ticket
Of course speed isn't the only thing that makes racing what it is. I've had a little success in sail regattas. Amazing how intense the competition and complex the tactics can be at eight knots. Tactics! Getting the Club handicapper liquored up before measurement was the best part of mixed fleet clu...

Re: Slugs thru a "TARGET" barrel
What about acquiring a classic? Find a pre-owned Drilling or Cape Gun? Plenty of reach in the rifle barrel with the shot option just a trigger pull away! Or, and I must say this is very exciting news, a new, yes New!, Holland & Holland Paradox Gun in 12 bore! H&H have reinvigorated the Para...

Re: One song that "speaks" to you
So, I went back to check an early post on this this thread and found that all my video links had died a horrible death! I set to editing to bring them back and made an existential discovery! I'm not nearly as witty or erudite as I think I am after having a wee dram or two. Needless to say editing to...

:grumble The comments in this thread... Being of indigenous heritages (both what most of you would consider Native America as well as Mexican which in reality is more similar than most of you will care to understand) tattoos and piercings have for thousands of years been very significant traditions...

Conversation at the "mall" Daughter "I can't believe that a silver haired Grandpa is so vain he can't walk past a mirror without checking his appearance!" Wife "It's not vanity Booboo, it's paranoia. And yes I am trying to get him help." Husband "mumble, mall, chec...

Re: A Personal view from a Foreigner
I do not know if you are aware of this but the UK government had to make a special dispensation for the duration of the games, to allow pistol shooting in the 2012 London Olympics because strictly speaking pistol shooting is now an illegal sport in the UK. Yes, and due to the special allowance, UK ...

Re: Cocoa flavanols associated with improved memory in seniors
The article stated the beneficial flavanols were destroyed in the normal processing of cocoa beans. Mars, Inc created the beverage used in the study so as to preserve the flavanols.
