Re: Need your wisdom - DL etched on gun

If you plan to leave it to family when you die, leave it the way it is. If they deserve to inheirit a firearm, they won't mind. If you want to sell it, gently mill out the area with your DL if you can do so without affecting the serial number. Inlay copper or some other "soft" metal. Decor...

Re: East Texas State Fair bans open carry guns, concealed carry still allowed

No surprise. The same will happen at the Texas State Fair at Fair Park. Anyone care to be the proverbial "test case"? Authorities in Texas don't want LTC's to open carry. They will stop it regardless of the law. If somebody is willing to be a test case and do an "audit" on camer...

Those who drive Prius-es are morally superior...right..? P.S. I'd rather drive a vehicle that was wood or coal burning before I would have a P-car. I had a coworker a few years ago who drove a Prius to work and drove his F-350 on the weekends going to the lake or hunting. This was before oil prices...

Re: Apartment Lease Contract Handgun Addendum

As noted above, VESP's are exempted, you are also possibly exempted unless it can be proven that you were not going between your apartment and your vehicle, etc. Worst case, you are looking at a potential $200 fine. Maybe exempt from the fine but not exempt from eviction. I don't think they'd likel...

Can you imagine if they prosecuted bars and stores that sell alcohol to somebody who has a fake ID?

Or prosecuted you for possessing stolen property even if you have a bill of sale.

She shot herself in the head in an apparent suicide attempt, but was unsuccessful so she shot herself again, the source said.
The gunwoman is in custody and in critical condition at a local hospital.
If she survives maybe she can get a job as a professor.

They have a legal duty to provide threat assessment regarding the functions they oversee. If that threat assessment includes the reasonable risk that a pot-shot may be taken at a protectee , then they have the legal authority (and responsibility) to ban all firearms. :iagree: Including LEO and MIL.

Re: 30.06 Ruling Letters

A plain reading of the statute and the AG's guidance letters says otherwise. How can a judge make a ruling that is in direct conflict of the law as written and expect it to stand? The bad guys don't care what the law or the Constitution actually says unless it's convenient for them. The Ninth Circu...
