If I wasn't trying to buy a home, I'd buy this just to have a second one laying around. By far the most pleasant gun to shoot besides my 1911. Great carry platform as well. Ergonomics are out of this world.
Best of luck on a good deal!

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
What this Ranger did was unacceptable. No doubt about it. I am not trying to defend his actions as they were.OlBill wrote: Is that what the Ranger did? Or did he attempt to prevent road rage with road rage?

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
Playing devils advocate a bit here, but could you provide the section of penal code that he violated that the trooper would have been warning him that he violated? Flipping someone off is only a crime when witnessed and then complained about/reported by a third party. No third party involved here. ...

Single Stage Press: Hornady vs RCBS?
I am looking to get into reloading for my 6.5CM. I am looking at single stage presses for what I hope are obvious reasons. I'll be focused on quality, not quantity. Workflow will be around precision and thus slow regardless. In looking at both companies mentioned, is there any glaring reason to go w...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
I do. No crime was committed. Should an LEO be able to pull you over for "foolishness" because you have a bumper sticker they don't like? Or maybe the he doesn't like red cars? Or maybe you have a "foolish" hair cut. Why couldn't the ranger be like every other cop on the planet ...

Re: New SBR build
is it actually a requirement to engrave the trust info? i read so much conflicting information on another forum regarding that when i built mine but played it safe and did it anyway. i want to build another one but havent gotten up on the new laws yet. Good luck with that. Best bet is to write the ...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
When I was a LEO, we were trained that we could not be offended. While obscene gestures are considered disorderly conduct, if the officer is the only one who sees it, and there is no complainant, it's no harm no foul. If I had reacted, to every gesture, or insult directed towards me, as a LEO, I wo...

Re: FBI Switch
Lots of people dead over in the box from 9mm rounds. LOTS. I've trained with and talked to enough operators to know that shot placement and dispersal of kinetic damage trumps initial kinetic shock. You aren't likely to get a single shot knockdown out of a pistol in a fluid situation unless you are h...

Re: Do bullet weights actually matter?....
I've found that picky pistols care more about OAL and bullet geometry than weight. You'll figure that out way before you hit 200 rounds.
Like most I talk to, I run a few hundred rounds of FMJ before I even try the SD ammo. Make sure the gun is reliable first.

Re: NIB Hornady LnL AP Press $375
Anyone, anyone? Bueller, Bueller? This is a smokin' deal guys. Shipping and/or tax usually kills you on this alone. I'm interested, but I would need it shipped to the Houston area. And I have a 10/22 that I would be interested in trading as well, but the shipping on that is likely more than the shi...

Re: Texas Training schools
Please add Trident Response Group here in Dallas to the list. They are all veterans, most with combat experience with JSOC (SEALs and Rangers mostly). Top notch instruction, focused on real world. They train in the kill house in Dallas and then do a lot of dynamic live fire training down at ETTS. Mo...

Re: Sb1588 to eliminate most vehicle inspections
When I used to run a modified Trans Am(no, not the 1970s/1980s model), I had no cats, long tube headers, deleted one of my emissions systems(it was utterly useless anyhow), modified exhaust, etc. I never had an issue getting it inspected. Underchassis running lights are illegal too, and they arguabl...

Re: WTS AR-15 .556 Custom Build - Houston PRICE DROP AGAIN
Finally a reasonably priced AR based on the parts used and round count. Someone would get a good deal on this. Best of luck!
