Re: Odd climate question
I live not far north of Houston and live with similar ailments. My guess is a combination of allergens that thrive in moist environments and pollution being the culprits, but I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. My nasal allergies always clear up quickly in drier environments, which lends wei...

Re: What is your concealed weapon?
Most of the time, a pocket knife. I work on the premises of a school. Charles, please do all you can to get Campus Carry for faculty and staff, at least! On my days off, I usually pack a Glock 17 or an S&W M&P Shield 9mm or both.

Any update, DanD? You've had about a month to get it and try it out. What's your impression to this point?

Re: A new curved handgun from Taurus
Since it has a laser for some sort of sighting system (though I would prefer iron sights), if it came in 9mm and the price was right, I'd give it a try. Lose the clip, and the curve would give it the right footprint for a pocket pistol. Time will tell...

Re: SA XDM 9mm 4.25" East Houston
I believe in this case, SA stands for Springfield Armory, though the OP aught to confirm that, just is case. The original XD came in some different barrel lengths than the XDm. I personally can't keep track of what lengths were/are available to which models. I used to have an XD .45 Service, which w...

Re: private university police - show them chl?
Texas A&M campus police are Texas LEO's. I recall being told they had jurisdiction in any county the A&M system owned land. I believe I remember Blinn College had security people who were there to discourge theft and enforce parking restrictions. I don't think you should be pulled over by s...

Re: pocket pistols
My choice is a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm. It has great sights and is wonderfully accurate. I've owned and carried .380s. I just don't trust the stopping power (or lack thereof) of them. I've owned and carried a Kel-Tec PF-9, and it was a fine pistol. I like my wife's Glock 26, and, yes, ...

It's not all kydex, but you show that you currently carry in an Alien Gear (hybrid) holster. Don't they offer the option for a weapon light for their holsters? Best of luck finding what you need/want!

Re: CHL Application Denied
Another thing to remember, if you go the route of a FL or other out-of-state license, it will not exempt you from the Federal Gun Free School Zones. I know that's not a big concern for many of us, but I like to abide by all laws all the time, for some strange reason. Personally I would exhaust all a...

Re: My Glock 19's life flashed before my eyes!
It's a Glock. It wouldn't have hurt it at all. "rlol" Seriously. I wouldn't have an issue pulling one out of there either, but I've been through some nasty stuff :???: I'm a bit of a germaphobe... how deep are those things? You're at a Children's Festival for goodness sakes...there has to...

Re: Thinking of a G26 gen 4 to trade my Xdm compact 9
My Gen 4 G26 is my go-to carry gun. Never a bit of trouble from it. 10 +1 on-board, with a 15-round G19 or 17-round G17 mag as a spare.

Re: Sights for Glock
I'm not a big fan of Big Dot sights. Yes, they do have their place for SD sights, but sometimes, I just like to see how accurate I can be with even my little Glock 26. Big Dots are meant for "minute of man" accuracy, not precision. My preference for night sights is Meprolight Tru Glo night...

WTT - My G23 mags for your G19 mags
Simple straight-up offer. I have 9 LNIB 13-round FML Glock 23 magazines that I would like to trade one-for-one for Glock 19 15-round magazines in approximately the same condition. I'm making this offer on other boards, so the mags will go on a first come, first served basis to e-mails sent to me at ...
