Yes, very good for them but the current law has no provision for reciprocity or non-resident licenses, so we won't be carrying there for now. Well, at least it is a start, and it will probably be tweaked like most other states have done. The main thing is that it was passed and it looks like the gov...

Well, since ots of people have been saying which hospitals are posted, I might as well add a few in Houston. Ben Taub General Hospital is not posted. Neither is Quentin Meese Hospital. Does anyone know if this is the case with all of the Harris County Hospital District Hospitals? Memorial Hermann an...

Is the info on the New Hampshire Nonresident permit up to date? I just went to packing.org and the link to New Hampshire says that they shall issue to states they have reciprocity with, but they don't have it with Texas. Does this mean that they are now not issuing Nonresident permits to Texans or ...

My CHL arrived today too. Mailed it January 19, so 53 days door to door. Now I'm going to go try this thing out. This is in Harris County BTW. I expected it to take longer than this; I've only lived in Texas since Julyand thought it would take longer than usual to check. I guess it is a pleasant sur...

Why no West Virginia reciprocity?
Why doesn't Texas have CHL reciprocity with West Virginia? I ask because, when I visit my parents in Virginia, the nearest free range is in West Virginia (George Washington National Forest). It's not like open carry would be a huge deal--it is a national forest after all, and I probably would OC any...

You can read for yourself here (Texas Penal Code): http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/statutes/petoc.html You or your lawyer should look at your record. It looks like the criminal mischief statute can be from a Class C misdemeanor to a 1st degree felony (I hope it's not the latter, since you would still...

I have a semi-related question regarding schools. I hope nobody minds me asking here. Anyhow, I was wondering if the provisions of 46.03 apply equally to students as well as non-students. I just took the CHL class today, and my instructor was saying that GC 411.203, Rights of Employers, applies to s...
