Did she pass the class with the revovler? In TX if u use a revolver for the class you can only use revovlers for carry. Yeah, what a assanine rule. Personally, in all reality, I'd much rather have a 6-shot S&W 4" model 66 .357 with JHP than my 9mm, but they are so much more bulky than my S...

The big variable no one has mentioned is girth. How big a boy are ya? </Roy D. Mercer> I'm 5'11"; 200. The last belt I purchased was a 40 the last pants were 38's and had a bit of room left without being tight. While I have more of a 'paunch' than I had when I was 20--some 30+ years ago...

Re: How did you learn about CHL?

It struck me as really odd, since, I thought as others here, that flashing the licence would be "breaking concealment". carrying the license does not necessarly mean that you're actually carrying. I carry my license with me everywhere... my weapon I do not. Heck, I carry my driver's licen...

think about this:

A club in High School is having a car wash in the parking lot of a local merchant...

That IS considered a school function. That car wash is a NO CARRY zone.

What good is it when you're licensed to carry and you lock your gun up in a safe under the seat? It's the same as saying: "... please wait to rob me or carjack me while I take the time to 1) unlock my gun safe to retreive my weapon and 2) unlock the ammo to put into said weapon 3) load magazine...

This is road rage: Friends the person who pulls a gun on the highway will be arrested, tried and most likely convicted of road rage... no matter who started it. Most of the time I can see people cutting people off, crossing over 3 lanes of traffic before they miss their exit, this is not good... and...

While I never lived in Lubbock, I have lived in:

So glad to be away from the dust storms and wall to wall 24 hour Buddy Holly marathons on the radio.

Re: What do you not like about CHL & carrying?

Be it a need for different clothing to changing your daily routine, what is it that you don't like about having a CHL and concealed carry? I'm not trying to stir up a hornet's nest. I'm just trying to see what I should expect when I get to that point. Edit: I just put my name on the list for a CHL ...

Texas Government Code, Section H §411.171. Definitions. (3) "Concealed handgun" means a handgun, the presence of which is not openly discernible to the ordinary observation of a reasonable person. If I can tell by ordinary observation that you have on a gun, it is not concealed. A t-shir...

what is considered concealed?

Would wearing a 9mm in a belt holster with a tee-shirt draped over it to "hide" it... Is that considred concealed? It's getting warm and my 'small' .32 is out of service for repairs for the next 6 weeks or so, and my Springfield XD-9 is large for me to carry during the summer time and I do...
