Re: This paper needs a good fisking
Those ivory tower elitists cook data like that so crooked gun-grabbing politicians, particularly Democrats, can quote that stuff when pushing gun control laws. They make the data show what they want it to show, like the "climate change" types do. Real science and math are dead, killed by c...

"A week ago, the Supreme Court issued a reckless decision removing century-old limitations on who is allowed to carry concealed weapons in our state — senselessly sending us backward and putting the safety of our residents in jeopardy," - Governor Hochul (July 2022) WARNING: Language in t...

Re: TX: arrested for unlawful carrying way up since constitutional carry
Any time they quote Kim Ogg in any sort of serious or authoritative manner, I instantly dismiss the premise of the article. We all know who she is and what she stands for (even if we don't live in that area), and she does NOT represent the majority of Texans.

Re: Am I Neurotic?
I don't think that's weird or unusual at all. My carry handgun has a safety that locks the slide. Before I put that handgun on my belt, I verify that safety will disengage. I also verify that a round is in the chamber, and give a slight tap to the back of the slide to ensure it is fully in battery, ...

Re: Got pulled over in Fort Worth
Thanks, everyone, for all the good wishes. Devine, Pearsall, Dilley, or Cotulla... Actually, it is Natalia. When I said small, I meant small. Yeah, that's small alright. I spent my teenage years down in that area, but it's been awhile since I've been back. I'll add to the chorus of well-wishes and ...

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19)( SARS-CoV-2) from China: Its going to be bad.
Seems everyone is getting Covid at Christmas parties. Most seem well in 5 days easier than the flu. Due to the vaccine and boosters, or it’s mutated to something not as bad? Then there is this: https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/why-cant-we-talk-about-any-of-the Normal healthy people just dieing. M...

Re: Condo or Civic Association meeting violence
I am still convinced that somehow social media is being used to select folks who already have serious problems, and then push them over the edge to do these violent crimes. Once the dirty deed is done, the message traffic is wiped within short hours, or even minutes. These violent events are then co...

Re: Got pulled over in Fort Worth
What would be her probable cause for a search? Because RPBrown had a LTC and was not armed does not articulate that he was committing a crime. When I went to the academy 100 years ago we had weeks of search and seizure law. Most if the TCLOSE (TCOLE Now) test covered search and seizure. She would n...

Re: Off the wall 30.06 posting situation
And these sorts of situations are why the entire 30.0x section needs clean-up legislation. The text of the section should be without ambiguity. Anyone who reads it should know exactly what is required, depending upon which section is posted. And the law should state that if the exact letter is not a...

Ambulance was called to the Houston home of Ted Cruz. Apparently his oldest daughter will be ok. I’m being told she attends an all girls school and recently came out as gay. My prayers are with the Cruz family at this time. At the risk of sounding like a stereotypical "old guy", I think a...

One more unconstitutional law falls: Law Banning Gun Possession Due to Restraining Order is Unconstitutional I have known guys over the years in nasty divorce situations have wives claim all kinds of crazy things to make his life miserable. Claiming they were afraid of him for no good reason, simpl...

Re: VA: Walmart mass shooting 7 murdered by store manager.
This tragedy will get very little coverage. Andre Bing, the Walmart shooter in Chesapeake, Virginia, was a 31-year-old Black man. Anderson Lee Aldrich, the Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub shooter, is a 22-year-old "nonbinary" individual whom "their" attorneys refer to in court ...

Re: 7.62x39 AK mag bolt action?
I acquired one of those Ruger American Ranch rifles in 7.62x39mm recently. It took me a long time to find one. I made a post about it not too long back. I like the rifle quite a bit, though it doesn't like the 10-round Mini-30 magazines all that well. The next-to-last round forces the last round to ...

Re: Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across the United States: 2022
I'll keep up my LTC for one reason even if none of the others had much impact on me. Having the LTC allows me to not wait around for that NICS check when I purchase a firearm. I buy new firearms from time to time, and it sure is nice just to fill out the paperwork, show the LTC, pay for the firearm,...
