Re: Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Thanks Liberty! :cheers2:
So looking forward to this upcoming trip. I have been through Tennessee before, but never stayed there. I have heard nothing but good things about Gatlinburg. :thumbs2:

Re: Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Thanks for the input so far...feel free to keep it coming. :tiphat: I was wondering about the Ole Smokey Moonshine Distillery. I'm assuming as long as your not drinking and just on a tour it may be ok to carry, but not sure on that one. I don't know how they have their system set up like our 51% sig...

Re: Mercy Killing of Animals

I am pretty certain one has to call a game warden even if it is in season. Why?? I don't call a game warden every time I shoot a deer while legally hunting. I have put down quite a few gimpy deer while hunting. It's called culling the herd. As long as everything is legal (ie. season, tags, your pro...

Re: Mercy Killing of Animals

Upon dispatching, one should also process and eat said animal. Not Legal. Supposed to let the game warden or sheriff deputy pick it up and take to a processor. The meat goes to various government run schools for orphans, deaf and blind, etc. I was kidding. But the warden can give you permission to ...

Re: Trouble Purchasing Rifle at Walmart

Two points: 1). We have 3 Walmarts in my town and NONE sell any guns! :banghead: 2). My middle name is spelled Micheal not the normal Michael. It's a family thing. I always have to point that out whenever someone is filling my name out on something official. I just bought a new car and they misspell...

Re: Non resident alien firearm purchase

No Hunters ed required to buy a gun. Don’t worry, just have your hunters license and your passport. You won’t be able to take your gun homebright away, like stated earlier it may take a few days. My FFL has done this before and was able to tell me everything I need. If am not mistaken, it is also l...

Re: Non resident alien firearm purchase

Thanks for the reply, would I be better getting my ltc first do you think then ? And valid hunting licence I have this years in date, I haven’t done the hunters ed. Does that matter ? Hunter Ed is required for people born after September 2, 1971. https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/hunter-education/fa...

Re: Poll: Native or Transplant?

Born and raised here and other than time in the Air Force lived here all my life. According to my Great Grandma (Mom's side), I am a descendant of one the first Texas Rangers under S. F. Austin. :txflag: One of these days I am going to trace my ancestory to see if true or if she was fibbing to us. Lol

And by the way, it was an $800 one time permit fee and $21 per bike, not $821 per bike. :rules:

Re: No place but Dallas.

I may be in the minority here, but I for one am glad to see all these bike companies leaving. (And it's not just Dallas proper) I am tired of seeing these eye sores being left all over town. In creeks, in front of businesses and especially in front of my house. If the bike companies would pick up th...

Re: Millenial Anti-Theft Device

I have owned only 10 vehicles in my 35 years of driving,(got my hardship also at 15), of that, only two have been automatics. Learned on a stick and have always preferred a stick. (Except when stuck in stop and go traffic). There's no way I would I want my Jeep Wrangler in an automatic. :tiphat: My ...

Re: Yellowstone tv show

Longmire was the reason I started subscribing to Netflix when A&E dropped it and Netflix picked it up. I just wish Netflix had done more than just two seasons. I still go back and rewatch all 6 when nothing else is on. I can't say that about very many shows or movies. Have Yellowstone DVR'ed, b...

Re: Poll: Nonresident Out of State License

How many of us have obtained a nonresident out of state license? If you do, please comment on why you felt the need and which state(s) you decided to get. Maybe it was because you travel on the job, or maybe because of personal travel. I have family in New England and am considering some nonresiden...
