Re: Kimber Solo problems?
Not to change the subject slightly, but what Academy did you see the Kimber at? I haven't seen any Kimbers at Houston area Academys - sure would be nice if they started carrying them.

CITADEL FIREARMS
Has anyone had any experience with Citadel pistols made by Legacy ? Have been looking at 1911's in 9MM. The Springfield EMP, Kimber compacts, Colt Defender all go in the range of $1000 - $1200. The Citadel Compact 1911 / 9MM at Academy is half the price at $599. Any comments about the quality / depe...

Re: Anyone interested in a "Your first car" thread?
My first car was a 1970 Chevy Nova. Had a 307 with automatic but it could still screech the tires hitting second gear. My second is the one I wish I still had. A '69 Dodge Charger with a 383 - forest green with black vinyl top. Alway wondered if it was one of the many wrecked making the Dukes of Haz...

Re: Just got a call from the NRA wanting $400...
I got the same call earlier this week. Caller said they were a paid caller for the NRA and brought up the UN treaty - asked for $200.00. This call came from 703-939-9558. I have also received call from the NRA on 877-728-3486, 877-837-4130 and 703-988-6387. Usually multiple times a week. Anything wi...

Re: Gun shopping: Where can I get the BEST DEALS on handguns
You asked about Taurus - I've only had one (PT145) and it was the biggest piece of junk I've owned for a firearm.
Now I strictly have SIGS - P226 MK25 (full size), P250SC (subcompact) and a SIG Mosquito for plinking. Never a problem with any of them.

Re: 3" 1911, Where Do Ya'll Carry It?
Do you like cross draw? Is it easy to keep concealed? I have always like the idea of cross draw, but never carried that way. I wouldn't mind getting a second smaller handgun to keep as another carry option or to carry as a backup. I was thinking about a Polish Makarov or an LC9. I REALLY don't like...
