Re: Background check?
Just list the best you can. You can go to each jurisdiction and get traffic convictions, but I wouldn't waste the time.

Re: Edge of Tommorrow movie
Saw it Thursday night. Enjoyed it. Without giving anything away, I thought the ending left room for a sequel. I was very surprised that the first preview of the movie (8:00) at the theater we went to had a very light crowd. Couldn't have been more than a couple dozen people. Tom Cruise is getting t...

Re: Texas DPS: Step up for your fingerprints, now!
I don't know why it bugs when written wrong, but the author is not calling the item the right thing. It is a Driver License, not a driver's license. According to the Texas Transportation Code, it is called a "driver's license." (Title 7, subtitle B, chapter 521, subchapter A, 521.001(a)(3...

Re: Leave the gun in the car at school parking lot?
Can I leave the gun in the cat ? Thanks for responding. I really appreciate it! Why would you want to leave a gun in a cat? Sorry. That is a typo. I mean leaving a gun in a car. What you mean is that when there is a 30.06 sign on the front gate of the garage, I can not park the car with gun into th...

Re: South Texas traveling
Border Patrol are law enforcement officers, and as you are in Texas the law says you must present you license if you are carrying. Keith, I don't think Border Patrol are Peace Officerd under Texas law. I believe they are "Special Investigators" under the Code of Criminal Procedure. Since ...

Minor in Consumption is a Class C Misdemeanor, and does not count Your Class B Misdemeanor conviction date needs to be more than 5 years ago. Probation dates don't matter. So, if you are more than 5 years past the court date, and have nothing else to report, you should be good to go. Welcome to the...

Re: Talking to my neighbor...
My neighbor and I were talking this evening about how we keep an eye on things around the neighborhood and some of the stuff that's gone on in and around town lately. Over the course of the conversation, she mentioned that she tried to get a CHL once but was told she couldn't because she had been r...

Re: Chl in Church
Welcome to the Forum! Yes you may carry in church if there is not a 30.06 sign and someone who is actual authority (not just a deacon) tells you that you are forbidden to carry. I would not ask anyone if you can or can't I would just keep concealed and carry on. I am a pastor and I require all of m...

Do not carry if you are working as a volunteer on a "security" team. Instead, join the safety team. It doesn't matter if they are called the comedy team, If their mission meets the definition of guard in the Private Security Act, 1702 of the Occupations Code, they need licensing. And it's...

Re: I gave bad information - How to deal with it?
I had a CHL student that just moved back to Texas. I could have sworn I read that there was no longer a 6 month waiting period for resident licenses. They sent all their stuff in for Texas resident but have not been here 6 months. They already submitted all their stuff should I just wait it out and...
