Re: IL: Hoosier with LTCH kills robber in Chicago

It will be interesting to see if the IL resident is charged with UCW. Chas. He's dead. It would be interesting to see if the IN resident is charged for carrying and if he has to pay the fine and/or go to jail. Violators of the current law would be subject to a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up t...

Re: Pentagon nominee says insane for civilians to own semi-auto

Their analysis, published in the BMJ on Tuesday, shows that “medical errors” in hospitals and other health-care facilities are incredibly common and may now be the third-leading cause of death in the United States — claiming 251,000 lives every year, more than respiratory disease, accidents, stroke ...

Re: CC on Private University Campus

I was at SMU Thursday on a field trip.

There were signs inside Mcfarlin Auditorium but I did not see signs in Dallas Hall. Only 2 parts of campus we were using.

I was unarmed anyways.

Heads up on Garland Outdoor. It's $15 but on your first visit it's $15 more for a 10 min video to safety certify you for the range.

Re: Gun shots heard near money gram soccer complex

Is this the MoneyGram Soccer Park at Elm Fork? If it is, Google maps shows Elm Fork shooting ranges are less than a mile to the west of it. Could you have heard something from there, maybe with a wind shift brought the sound over? This is the case at a few parks in Grand Prairie too. You'll hear gu...

Re: Shotgun selection

As a former coach, not shooting, wait till the team meeting.

I can't tell you how many kids bought a bat they couldn't use over the years. I spent 10 minutes in my preseason team meeting explaining how to buy the right bat for your kid.

Once you take the wrap off, the bat is yours.

Re: Going to Austin. State capital question.

My brother from AZ was not allowed to carry in capitol building. No explanation was given as to why not.

I wasn't there. I got an unrepeatable text message about it.

I carry the lcr. Most of the time it's in my pocket. If I'm wearing swear pants I carry iwb with a sticky holster. No issues yet.

There's an LTC line right next to the metal detector. I made it in before anybody else in my group.

Re: Road Trip

There is no duty to inform in Missouri. A few years ago we were road tripping and went through MO. I had a note card that summed up all the states laws. I got pulled over around midnight (tail light out) and could not find the card, so I decided to err on the side of caution and inform. Based on wha...

If you're talking about the UA on LBJ and Jupiter (I think that's the right exit), that happened to me too. The main door is 30.07 so I thought I was good to go. i didn't notice the sign you reference so maybe it is new.

Re: How Far Would You Go To Help?

I ride that line once a month, maybe a little more. I'm calling 911 and probably getting off to help him once they all got back on the train. I'm not sure A)I have good cause to pull my weapon B)that a gun diffuses that situation. You seriously think preventing serious bodily harm and possible deat...
