Re: Mossberg 88

I agree with you with the “cruiser ready” state. And I guess it wouldn’t much matter which one I had. I've got the Maverick 88 with the 18.5" barrel and it is kept in the above state along with a 20 hole or so bandolier sling, tac light, etc...it's a bad machine. Bad as in it works every time ...

Re: Discount Tire using the same tactics as Oil Change places

Love me some Nitrogen! But...I'm a racer....keep a big tank in the hauler. Tires are a consumable....unless they are on my truck....haven't bought a new set of tires in YEARS...but then again I never keep 'em that long :biggrinjester: On my '17 Corvette Z06 I actually got over 14K miles on the OEM M...

Re: I think the forum is dying

I have a Kimber 1911. It's just like a Glock, only for men! Speaking of which - I lay full claim to have invented that saying back in 2014 on Facebook: https://i.imgur.com/NKjoUtW.png LOL!!! Y'all are KILLING me!!! :biggrinjester: I'm going to shamelessly STEAL this and have some fun with my friend...

Re: Did all the new gun owners buy .38 revolvers?

Needed some .38 special for requalification. Called every Academy in San Antonio. None. Said it sold out as soon as they got it. Started calling gun shops starting with closest. After four no goes found some at Nagel's but limited to one box. ONE box of .38 special! Said it was because of high dema...

Re: First Texas Home

Quite an adventure you've got there, clarionite! And I think your hands are about to be like iron fists, soon enough! Growing up on a farm, we wore gloves.. A lot. there were always several pairs of gloves in the truck. different types for different work. Over the years, I've gotten away from using...

Re: Heading to UT, ID, WY & MT...Firearm Thoughts?

I hear ya about the .44 mag - looks like availability, at least locally (searching my usual sites) is pretty much nil. Got some advice to check out Buffalo Bore ammo, especially in .357 Mag, I ordered a few boxes, that's going to be at least one item to bring! I've got a somewhat decent holster for ...

Heading to UT, ID, WY & MT...Firearm Thoughts?

Wife and I are flying in and out of SLC for a little week-long getaway here in a few weeks. Driving up to MT and staying in the Kalispell area for the majority of our trip (been there before, LOVE IT!!), will be doing off-road SxS for at least a day (did that last year, so much fun!), probably hit G...

Re: Tips on carrying in a swim suit???

I once had a close-protection gig for a few weeks in Cape Town where my cover was as the "boyfriend" of a gay importer who was under threat. Naturally, his two favorite haunts for relaxation were nightclubs and the infamous Graaf's tidal-pool - so all I'll mention is that a pair of rugby ...

Re: Tips on carrying in a swim suit???

Back when I had a cabin cruiser at the nearby marina/lake I'd routinely carry my S&W Bodyguard .38 in my right front pocket in a pocket holster. My typical attire was board shorts or a swim suit and a tank top or Aloha shirt. Carried this way for many years. :tiphat:
