Re: Big win in CA - "High capacity mags" case (Duncan et al)

It reads to my layman’s eyes to be a panel of three. 2 DUNCAN V. BECERRA Before: Consuelo M. Callahan and Kenneth K. Lee, Circuit Judges, and Barbara M. G. Lynn,* District Judge. Opinion by Judge Lee; Dissent by Judge Lynn Wait a minute...Judge Lynn is from Dallas. So a Texas judge sitting in desig...

Re: 22 caliber qualification

Thanks for this post. My wife finally is coming around to LTC, but she only likes shooting her .22 (after an interesting encounter to discuss another day). I had told her that she would have to use something different...this will help move her along. If someone doesn't feel comfortable shooting som...

What Montgomery said. Go with them to the park, and don't just sit on a park bench with your face in your phone like 99% of parents I see in the park. Learning your surroundings and situational awareness can be fun. Ask your child questions. The man we saw walking up...what did he have in his hands...

Re: Is my wife really right? Say it ain't so...please

"Is my wife really right?" Of course she is...my wife told me so. :biggrinjester: Happy wife, happy life. I agree with others who say use the time as awareness training with your son. The benefits to him are obvious, but you may also observe things you'd been missing about the park. It's ...

1. The El Paso shooter drove over 600 miles to select the El Paso Walmart he targeted. 2. and 3. If these are true about your locale you might think about moving to a safer place. And yes, she's right. You don't say how old your son is, but ability doesn't always accompany size. Get off your duff a...

I wish--tiny lot with sloped driveway. It is a terrible thing. I have one in my pool, but it is a bit cold for that.

Is my wife really right? Say it ain't so...please

So my wife and I have had this argument quite frequently. It starts with one of my sons asking to go down to the neighborhood park or to the neighborhood basketball court. She says no unless his friends are going...or unless I go. If I have no desire to go, I am of course asked over and over again u...

Re: Morman Bloodbath in Mexico

My opinion on this, while logical, has admittedly moved to an extreme--I would love some honest discussion on the following thought: The power of the cartels, and the lack of competence/caring/pure corruptness of the Mexican government causes 10's of thousands of deaths per year in the United State...

Re: This makes me sick.

Their personal choices make me sick too, but then again it does not affect me. What will affect me is if a judge and jury impart their personal views, opinions, and ideology onto me when I have the legal right to do something - like a medical procedure I deem necessary. Otherwise, there is no liber...

Re: Pit Bull Attack...divine intervention

You are actually both wrong--German Shepherd bite strength 238 PSI; American Pit Bull 235 PSI (so basically the same). American temperament society test pass rate: German Shepard 85.3%; American Pit Bull 87.4%. Pits actually score higher than golden retrievers (85.6%) and collies (80.8%). Sorry--I'...
