Re: Dangerous for children to play license plate game now.
Marines can be a member of the Shore Patrol, but on their own installations they are Military Police. Ah. Thanks for the clarification. I've got a fair amount of time on forts, bases and stations, very limited on camps. Except for the rare trip to a Marine Air Station (MCAS) for Space-A. Keep in mi...

Re: Dangerous for children to play license plate game now.
Why do I get the distinct feeling that the security folks that did this were the "rent-a-cops" that many of the military installations have hired? Meaning that I doubt they were actual uniformed military personnel. To be honest, most airmen would rather not have some sort of a problem, if...

Re: Dangerous for children to play license plate game now.
The caller needs to be slapped. Depending on which officers stopped them there may have been some Barney Fifedom in play. The SPs are military and I have never had a problem with any of them, while the contract security are security guards with extra training. Once, while on board Lackland, I got p...

Re: Barber shop gun sign
Any business that almost exclusively accepts cash as payment (as many Barber Shops appear to do in my experience) would do well to invest in one of these signs.
It might deter the occasional literate hold-up man.

Re: A Church and Wal Mart
Everything that calls itself a church is not. They need to go preach the gospel and be busy about the Father's business rather than Wal Mart's business. They're pushing the Thou Shalt Not Murder thing, so they kind of are. I disagree with them completely though, but I sort of get their reason for t...

AG and Technology
If only this indeed were the case (a quote from the AG regarding his discussions with "technology people" about making guns "safe"): "It's those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second...

Re: Winter Soldier
I loved the choreography for the fight scenes with Capt America and Major Romanov respectively. Very well done.
Good story line for a movie based on a comic book.

Ah, I see and somewhat agree with you.
I don't watch Twilight Movies, have been dragged by loved-ones to see the Hunger Games, but I have always been fascinated by historical and religious-themed movies.

Re: Noah
I don't consider myself a highly religious man, in that I'm not much of a church-goer. However, I refuse to give my money to anyone who would manipulate and ruin a Biblical story in such a manner. Not only that, but really, why would a non-religious person or atheist pay money to see this movie sin...
Re: Noah
I heard that it was a good story and the trailers look good. I can hardly wait to go see it. Though I only briefly scanned the posters on this thread, it appears that exactly one poster has actually watched it. I promise to give a thorough and objective opinion once I have seen it. If someone tells...
