Re: TX:Many injured at family friendly dance in Houston - suspect claims ND

I still don't understand pocket carry, and why it appears some folks are too....ignorant I guess... to get a proper holster. My wife watched a guy drop his revolver on the ground out of his pocket in the middle of a crowded conference room because he fell asleep and leaned too far back. Woke up, put...

Donate or leave: Harris County constable accused of pressuring employees for political contributions

Just more crooked cops in the Houston area. Democrat, of course. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Precinct-2-Constable-Diaz-squeezed-staff-for-15056491.php The Diaz reports contain many misspelled donor names and job titles. In several cases, only a donor’s surname...

Re: JFK Museum and Dallas Holocaust Museum

I just don't understand a place that claims to promote human rights and whose reason for being is a result of a group of people were forcefully disarmed and slaughtered, prohibiting the legal possession of firearms within their building. :banghead: :txflag: The only two possible explanations I can ...

Just in case anyone was curious, when all was said and done I ended up dispatching 4 raccoons before they seemed to have stopped coming around. Perhaps I took out the whole family?

Re: G.W. Bush Library & CHL

I always thought the libraries were private property and paid for by the outgoing president himself.

Silly me. Of course it's our tax dollars paying for it.

There is both a "Report this entry" button in the mobile app, and on the website. On the website it's an actual link named "Report". Just click it and fill out the info.

Re: TX: Houston Police Officer has ND shooting self at academy range

I used to carry with a Serpa until I found out in a few of the Facebook groups I am a member of how most folks think about them (dangerous), and after evaluating the explanations I found myself agreeing.

I carry with a Safariland ALS now.

Re: Texas "10 acre" rule for discharging a firearm outside of city limits?

Did ya make meatballs or slow-smoked ribs? lol! Neither. Not interested in eating a city-based fleabag. I'd want to be out further in the country before I even consider that. Did he make you jump when you went to pick up the trap? I've trapped quite a few. Yeah he was pretty unhappy. I also d...

Re: Texas "10 acre" rule for discharging a firearm outside of city limits?

So, if a county has NOT passed a more restrictive ordinance, there is no restriction on firearms discharge? Except for in the case if you are close enough to a neighbor that the DA could make a case for Deadly Conduct. The Sheriff's deputy I spoke to told me here in Harris Co. he believes they go b...

Re: Texas "10 acre" rule for discharging a firearm outside of city limits?

I've shot it in my back yard a few times now, it's not nearly as loud as the CCI Quiet's I tested (which aren't really quiet at all imo), it won't bother anyone. Raccoon came back again last night and defeated the defenses I put up to protect my outside animal feeder. Working on obtaining a trap now...
