Re: Cheaper Than Dirt & the ol Bait And Switch??
So in summary: i got it at Bud's Gun Shop, for about the same as the marked up price at CTD. which means, i was willing to pay that BUT no give my hard earned cash to CTD. :coolgleamA: easy transfer thanks to Tom Hart. :thumbs2: credit has shown up on my credit card. :thewave as a bonus, left a 1 st...

Re: Cheaper Than Dirt & the ol Bait And Switch??
I'd take action ASAP, call up CTD again and demand a full refund and inform them you will be contesting the charge if they don't follow through immediately. This is one reason why I like having an AMEX card because they pretty aggressively defend their cardholders against merchant shenanigans. I ca...

yes we went round and round. "why won't you honor your advertised price?", "well each warehouse has a different price.", "i didn't buy from a warehouse, i bought from YOU", etc.

Cheaper Than Dirt & the ol Bait And Switch??
(not sure where to post this and get advice, so put it here) So I’m interested in the new Luger LC9s. and CTD has it for $321. Cool!! So Saturday I order one. Which means $321 + tax has already been charged to my credit card. I keep checking back and “still processing your order”. I finally go to an...

Re: Monarch Steel Russian 9MM - Primer Problems
i've had the same experience too.
spent years shooting the brass and never had an issue.
bought 4 boxes of steel at Academy (since they had no brass). 6 failed to fire on the first try. 2 failed after the second try too. also, it happened in all 3 guns i was shooting that day.

Re: Electroless nickel for firearms - DFW
hi. i got a question or two. is there a certain kind of metal or finish that you can or cannot plate? for instance, if i'm tired of my "all black" Walther PPS, i could send him the slide and he'll be able to nickel plate that? and would the plating handle the heat from shooting? also, what...

Re: chl renewal confusion
yea, i emailed the bar code. also printed it and mailed it to be safe.
the generic status "waiting for necessary documents" made me wonder if they were waiting on the bar code (proof of payment) or that CHL-100.
thanks.

chl renewal confusion

lost my front site...kinda
went to the range last night for the first time in a loooong time. shotting the M&P Shield. i could hardly see the front dot. i think in my last cleaning, i got some solvent/oil in that little notch with the white dot, so it's not white anymore. can i just use some white model paint and dab in a...

"If the criminal with a gun is to be tracked down quickly, then we must have registration in this country."
so fallacy in logic isn't something new. it's at least 44 years old.

Re: M&P Shield vs. Walther PPS
i have them both. both are great guns. i don't notice much difference in handling. i feel i'm a little more accurate with the PPS, tho it took me a minute or two to figure out where the magazine release was :) i like the Sheild (i know i'm gonna regret saying this) for the thumb safety. i don't thin...
