Re: Declare or not declare that is the question.

I declared the only time I have been stopped since getting my CHL and I was requested to exit the Suv and walk to the back of the car while the DPS officer ran my DL and CCL. 30 seconds later he hands both back says thank you and have a safe trip. I have enough LEO friends that I will always declare...

Re: Open carry by (possible) LEO?

I see it almost daily here in Johnson county. My Sheriff is a western wear only guy 90% of the time. We have City and County Detectives and LEO's that OC some with and with out Visible badges. The Rangers are always OC ing but if you live in TX long enough you KNOW a TX Ranger when you see one. :pat...

Re: Hotels and 30.06

I have researched and just follow what I was told in my CHL Class and the Att Gen Office. If the place doesn't have a 30-06 sign that meets the Standards set by the State of Texas then ignore it and go on.

Re: Disadvantage to having CHL

I just carry my cane and a good lockback pocket knife and follow Coppers rules of awareness. Plus I carry pepper spray. :fire I understand the feeling you have being unarmed. But the truth is if your using your brain and think out side of the box you are armed. I love what a Ole marine told me: &quo...

Re: Sports activity at school field

As A public School Teacher and a CHL I would tell you Don't carry when Students are present on the Field. It to me would open up a #10 can of worms.

Re: Carry belt, help?

1.5" wide belts are great except my darn blackberry from work won't clip over it. Also I have found the belts with the multiple holes (versus the standard 5 ?) makes it a little nicer when you put on or take off a few pounds. Get one of these. http://home.att.net/~saddle_tool_dude/tool_pages/s...

Re: Thousand dollar safe opened in under 2 minutes. VIDEO

Nothing like a fear tactic video. Plenty of what is wrong with this Video has already been stated. Buy something in line with your collection. I have less than 1500 tied up in mine since most were gifts growing up and I love to buy Used. :patriot:

Re: UPDATED: Range Results for: Best "value" in a .22 rifle?

You made a good choice I had a Ruger 10/22 and I traded it for a pistol. I am on my 2nd Marlin the first came up missing at my parents house. I also have a old 512 Remington tube feed bolt that is my go to squirrel gun.

Re: 30.06 Sign Gets Shot Down

That is great that you got it shoot down. As a Preacher I carry all the time and everywhere I can. My issue is that Hospitals are a No carry zone and that concerns me when I leave an ER at 2am in Downtown Fort Worth or Waco.
