Re: I've created a monster...and I'm sorta proud

I agree. Good job and the 500 over the Maverick is probably a better pick. The 20ga will make it more fun for your wife to shoot too. And maybe that will help open the door for a semi-auto 12ga later for 3 gun. ;-) That’s what I was thinking too. Lighter kick than a 12. I’ve only shot 12 gauge so t...

Re: Lone Star Shooting Sports Lubbock

The wife and I stopped by today. When we walked in, we were greeted by one of the employees and he gave us the nickel tour of the building. He showed us the retail side of the store where they have handguns out so that customers can pick up and get a feel for them. He showed us both the ranges, Alph...

Re: I've created a monster...and I'm sorta proud

I bought a Mossberg 500 20 gauge today. We went to a recommended gun shop, Ellis Gun Shak (thanks G.A. Heath) and we both fell in love with it so I had to get it. Does it have anything to do with becoming the wife of a LEO? In the beginning I think it played a part, but now she’s becoming more aware...

I've created a monster...and I'm sorta proud

For those who don't know my wife's history, read here https://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=73165 Now she has her LTC, a Springfield XDs(9) and a Springfield XD Mod 2(40). Last night she was talking about wanting to get a revolver and today we went to Academy and a Pawn Shop so she can look ...

The best part is it's as true today as it would have been five or ten years ago.

Re: 147th Annual NRA Meeting in Dallas

I vote we establish the meeting time to be shortly before opening, and the meeting place to be somewhere that has coffee!

Any luck with this?

Re: Opps, Yes that does look bad, doesn't it.

I know there’s a DWI with an open container, but is there just an open container law?
When I was in Harris county, I’ve seen a magistrate find no probable cause on a DWI arrest because the offender was driving in a parking lot when he was arrested and not on a public road/highway.

I hope this is some kind political Jedi mind trick to look like it he is doing something to appease the left with out really having a chance of passing congress https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/966662241977360384?s=20 It's what the left wants to hear, but since it is coming from Trump it ...

Re: NBC4 Columbus Confused AR15 with a Shotgun

After reading the title and before even playing the video I could tell that was a shotgun. My wife, who knows only a little bit about guns, could see after watching the video that was not an AR-15. I wonder how may people they did fool though? As much as I agree with Soccerdad about checking with so...
