Despite the old age of this thread, want to mention something. Moth balls are not only completely ineffective at repelling snakes. It is also against Federal law to use them in this manner. They are toxic.

I buy all of my optics from Vortex. Their Veterans discount program is unbelievable. Before that started - I ordered most of mine through Primary Arms. Their in-house brands are pretty good for red dots. I wouldn't go to war with them, but if you're on this forum, probably not talking about that use...

I carried a CRKT for almost a decade. Then I picked up a Benchmade Rift and carried that for several years. After getting a Benchmade CLA automatic as a gift I've carried that almost exclusively.

Unless you've had your sympathetic nervous system triggered by a similar event, it's hard to predict how you would react, or how your decision making process will be impacted. Knowing how it turned out makes the decisions for us easy. Unfortunately doing the right thing isn't always the best choice....

New in box, only opened up to inspect contents. Still factory oiled/greased. Plans changed, my reloading requirements went from bulk to precision and don't need complexity of a progressive press. I can get pictures, but it is in the same condition as if you ordered it from Midway(which I think I did...
