Re: NASCAR Sprint Cup "NRA 500': coming to Texas Motor Speed

The article linked above actually explained this. As is custom for all race sponsors, the NRA was offered the chance to buy the premium ad package from Fox Sports that would include commercial time, sponsor mentions and graphics with the race name. The NRA declined, and thus the race was presented w...

Re: Manchin- Toomey Amendment

I have seen several times in news sites the notion that concealed carry reciprocity is in the amendment - but I read the text of the legislation twice and I swear I don't see it. Maybe I am just dense and can't get past the trees - can someone point out where it talks about reciprocity? This! As fa...

Re: American Hoggers

I was tired of watching hog shows that never showed them being killed. The only reason I watched this today was because they were wearing revolvers and Robert was carrying a rifle in his scabbard. It was several episodes before anyone shot. Robert took a shot from horseback at a running hog angling ...

Re: NASCAR Sprint Cup "NRA 500': coming to Texas Motor Speed

I watched the race, but did not see the sixgun celebration afterwards. Did I just miss it, or did Fox or NASCAR rule that it could not be aired? I also don't recall the announcers mentioning the race ever refer to it as the NRA 500. On an unrelated note, there was a gun suicide in the infield late i...

According to NBCNews, CCRKBA is alledgedly backing this amendment. http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/14/17749388-gun-rights-group-endorses-manchin-toomey-compromise?lite" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; A gun-rights group on Sunday endorsed a bipartisan compromise ...

Re: Manchin- Toomey Amendment

Fox is saying it provides for national reciprocity. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/04/13/manchin-toomey-deal-could-allow-gun-owners-seller-to-carry-sell-across-state/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The proposal essentially grants states "reciprocity" regardi...

Re: Traditional Shaving (Safety Razors / Straight Razors)

In the '80s and '90s, I used mug and brush but never used the safety razor or straight. I even have trouble watching someone on TV being shaved with a straight razor. I don't recall what I used the first few years, but I'm still using the Trac II type that I've used for forty years. I've had a beard...

But try to use their shopping function to find deals on guns.

That's where you'll see the difference.

Re: Manchin- Toomey Amendment

It would be nice if the CHL was recognized in a sale between individuals and not just from dealers.

That would exempt most of the sales here on the forum.

What's even harder is referencing the listed changes to Title 18, Section 922.

Re: Committee substitute for HB 972 passes committee

The myFoxAustin article stated the following: The measure has been opposed by state universities and gives schools a chance to opt out of the campus-carry provision if they first consult with students, faculty and staff. For campuses that still ban weapons, the bill reduces the penalty for a violati...
