Re: Bernie Sanders on Meet the Press
Bernie is talking to the masses and trying to get their votes. Folks on this forum are somewhat insulated and of a similar mind set with other participants, so it might not occur that a lot of folks out there do not own guns, have never owned or used guns, and see no utility nor safety in their owne...

Re: Texas3006.com - New map icons
I like the new feature. More information within the little icon. Don't see anything for non compliant signs--might consider those as well. Just becasue it does not comply doesn't mean you should walk past....especially OC.

Five weeks may seem ling when you are holding your breath, but it isn't awful. When I got mine some time ago, it was more like two months plus, and for them it seemed fast!

Re: Impact of 30.06 to businesses
We're trying to see what percentage of the poplulation is licensed. With military exceptions which are few, you can eliminate those under 21 from being candidates for licensure. Maybe I'm not making myself clear. The question was two-fold---what percentage of the popluation is licensed, and secondly...

Re: Impact of 30.06 to businesses
Statistics can be made to do whatever you wish, but consider the following in determining the affect on retail business: a) the number representing the total population of Texas b) subtract all those under the age of 21 c) subtract all those who have felony or class a convictions and are not eligibl...

Might have asked the cop if he had any experience in passing those stones. Get some sympathy perhaps. Hoping here that you are feeling better.

A lot of Texans use the water resources of the Rio Grande and this would likely kill the economy of the region as well as affect ag products, and I mean the legal ones.

Re: 15 year armed standoff in Texas ends
He was effectively under house arrest for that time and was out of everyone's hair, so perhaps they view this as having paid his debt, but it is still troubling that the group is still so distrustful that they will continue to sequestor themselves on the property. Well on second thought, maybe this ...

Re: Alcohol offenses and eligibility.
IANAL. Go to the DPS page and download Publication 16 that covers all the relevant rules related to LTC/CHL. You will find your answer there, but if I recall correctly, multiple convictions establishes a pattern of behavior and that is a problem. I believe it takes 5 years past adjudication of a DWI...

Re: Prayers for the wife
Prayer is essential to healing, and you are in mine. I understand and share your pain. My wife was diagnosed with cancer this past year and with prayer she is better. We can all hold each other's hands electronically and give strength to the weak.

Re: Just an observation here
I have CCed past non compliant signs any number of times through the years. They are not binding and concealed still means concealed. Never a problem. OCing past a hand made sign is a different matter, and is going to result in some level of drama. There is a reason I did not study drama in high sch...

A city office building here has new .06 and .07 signs posted at the front entry doors. Since there are no courts in the building, and apparently no place for a public meeting, I have strong doubts about their legality.

My wife has dealt with cancer this year. She's better. Medical science is much improved. We all pray for your health.
Just renewed mine. Yes, I received a letter and followed the instructions. Took right at 4 weeks. They used my latest driver license photo, too.
