Re: A Girl and Her Gun(s)

I wouldnt use empty cases as they might not feed properly. They may also give you the wrong impression that something has actually malfunctioned with your rifle. Use snap caps instead. Not feeding properly is a jam. That is what you want so the firearm requires clearing. Snap caps are best for dry ...

Re: Vietnam vet, 70, foiled waffle house robber by cracking him on the nose with his CANE after he saw ak47 was fake

When asked why he brought a toy AK47 to the robbery, the miscreant stated "well, it looked like all the ones on TV. I mean, how was he to know that it wasn't real. You think he ever saw a real one?"

Duh.

Re: Paper Targets

Lighthouse for the Blind is local for me, so when I need to stock up I just pile in the van and go and get 100 targets from them. Besides... they're good folks to support!

Re: Bullseye Camera System

It does look pretty neat, doesn't it. Look out for real low shots, tjough. Another thing to consider is that you'll need to mask off your viewing device from the sunlight - around here, you won't grt that nice, contrasty picture on your laptop in on a bright Texas afternoon without some sort of shad...

It's been a few months since you posted the original information, Billy... Did your student ever get everything cleared up, and did you ever find out who was trying to scam him?

Re: CBS News Sunday Morning

I finished watching the show late this evening (thank goodness for DVR's) and thought the show was a pretty good representation of some of the issues around today. But what blew me away was finding out that Ted Coppell is (a) still alive and (b) still working in television and that he's now (c) work...

Usually it's exsanguination (blood loss) or trauma to the central nervous system (shot to head or spine), just like everyone else.

Re: Wait 'til next year...

... More and more print shops are mass-marketing signs to businesses. Now they're even using email spam and Google ad tracking - I looked at a sign-selling website (nocarrysigns.com, mysecuritysign.com, 30.07sign.com, and many others) and now their banner ads are constantly appearing when I use the...

A Good Guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun...

Those of you in the Fort Worth-Dallas metromess may remember the Christmas-time attack in East Dallas when a Hispanic man shot up "Omar's Wheels and Tires" after coming around the shop earlier in the week and asking if it was a Muslim owned business. Here's a very interesting profile into ...

Re: Th story behind Apple refusing to work with FBI

[*]There is only one SAFE way to write such a hack, and that is for the FBI to (of course, observing all the proper chain of custody standards) give the phone to Apple, have Apple write a ONE TIME USE hack, have Apple crack that ONE phone's security, and then when that ONE phone's data has been rec...

Re: Tarrant County Sheriff candidate Bill Waybourn

Purely cosmetic, but Mr. Waybourn would impress me a whole lot more if he'd take his hat off in a building, like most gentlemen do. I've had the opportunity to meet Dee Anderson a couple of times, and have been impressed by him, his record, and what he's done with the Tarrant Co S-O since he's been ...
