Re: at what age can we take children to range?
Some ranges have different rules, but my rule for my son was that I had to think he was ready. He is 6 and went to the range for the first time this past year and shot my .22 as well as pulled the trigger on my AK while I was holding it. He liked that even more. Santa got him a pellet gun for Christ...

Does anyone have any experience with CAPS-CHL in Leander? I'm up for renewal and they are walking distance from my house but I do want a GOOD instructor. http://caps-chl.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Plus they served Moe's barbeque for lunch :anamatedbanana Side issue...

Re: 51% question
Let's see if I can channel Steve here. The answer is it depends. It depends on what the business put on their TABC application because the premises definition in there is different than the premises definition in the CHL statute. If the bar marked the outside tables as a part of their premises with ...

One other option is to change your router's firmware and simply boost the power that way:

Re: Austin NRA Basic Pistol
http://www.krtraining.com/KRTraining/Classes/basicpistol.html KR training does classes east of Austin, and offers the NRA Basic Pistol courses. Edit: just noticed that it's not he official NRA class, but similar. Here's the quote from the site: Thanks for the info - I will pass it along. I wasn't t...

Austin NRA Basic Pistol
I have a coworker who just recently was converted from being very anti-gun into owning and having fun with a .45ACP. I have offered and will take him to the range whenever he wants to go, but he is also looking for something a bit more formal. Someone suggested the CHL course for him, but based on w...

4 years already?
Wow - I can't believe it has been that long already. I started the renewal process today (all online paperwork done and fee paid). Time to go find a renewal class and have some fun. Maybe I should wait on that until the campaign has started again... Just 1 month away for that. So I'm not officially ...

A very simple way of sanitizing your input from SQL injection and XSS (Cross Site Scripting) attacks is: Me being the DBA, I have a different solution. Don't allow your website user ANY table access to your database at all. Write all of the logic in Stored Procedures and then grant the rights to yo...

Re: I can't stand Microsoft sometimes
I run Windows at work - that whole MS SQL Server DBA thing... and the c# programmer. That ties me there.
At home (and for my photography biz) I run all Linux.

Re: Good and Bad Leo contacts.
I think it is an unreasonable expectation. "Texas law contains more than a thousand crimes, scattered throughout dozens of codes." This is one reason that civil, personal injury, employment, divorce, probate, patent, real estate and tax lawyers don't practice criminal law. That said, LEOs...

Re: CZ "Street Price"
You could probably check Academy for some local prices... they will be on the low side from gun shops, but it might be a starting point for a gun show.
