Re: Question about TSA Pre office in airport
I would recommend Global Entry as well since it is just $15 more than the TSA PreCheck only.

Re: Glock Magazines
It appears to be a Glock 19 (could be a G17), with a G18 mag and streamlight flashlight I do not believe the TR1 comes with a laser. Sorry to disappoint

What kind of trigger did you replace? Was it a G2? I always thought the G2 were pretty smooth given their price.

Re: "Moms Demand Action" invading North Dallas
Two points:
I bet the location is posted 3006/3007.
what is up with the group name? Do they want gun violence?

Re: How many Magazines do you have?
I never have enough, the basic requirement is enough to hold 100 rds for a pistol and 10 mags per rifle. Anyone here with less the 5 full capacity mags for any auto, I bet has not lived thru the Clinton Assault Rifle and Mag ban. Magazines are a consumable in most systems except for an AK for exampl...

Re: Airline Travel With Handgun to CA
Yes the no std capacity mags are a pain but I have that covered. I kept some of my Clinton mags for just this possibility. Sounds like there are no major pitfalls than what I had already discovered. It is just good to know that others have traveled this path without issue.

Re: Airline Travel With Handgun to CA
Yes, I have read what you linked previously. That is why I plan to use a center of mass portable gun safe. I do not need any hassles with CHIPS or other agencies. You never know what you are going to get as a rental car. Thanks for the links.

Airline Travel With Handgun to CA
I have done the airline transport of a handgun before but have never flown into CA with one. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with flying into San Diego with a handgun. I have an extended trip upcoming and plan to bring a Glock with me. I know the CA issues of transport and the requireme...

I use 3.2 gr of W231 with 100 grain Berry or Xtreme bullets. I have found the shorter OALs worked best.

No loaded magazines in the vehicle traveling in CA, so you need to unload the mags.

Re: Semi-Autos or Revolvers for In-Car Defense
It was mentioned above the disadvantage of a semiauto in a clinch due to getting it out of battery (due to being pressed against opponent) and unable to fire. The revolver has a similar issue, if the opponent has a grip on the cylinder which prevents rotation of the cylinder not allowing it to fire....

Re: RCBS Press replacement part Question
You are going to find that is the most expensive free item.
If you get RCBS X-dies the 556 cases will not strech and not have to be trimmed (though the instructions recommend a first time trim). I recomend the Imperial die was for lube a small tin last for a very long time.
