Up in Virginia cops have taken to walking into bars and arresting people for public intoxication. The police chief literally said "You can't be drunk in a bar". It's disturbing how low the bar is set for evidence as well. Of course the cops managed to get these people to submit to a breath...

So am I reading this right that C&R firearms will no longer be imported? No. Only parts kits that can be used to create a weapon that would otherwise be non-importable. If a C&R can be imported as a whole rifle, then this will not affect it. This mostly affects AK parts kits, but some other...

2. Copy Florida's "Castle Doctrine" law. This is a big one too, I hope the NRA starts pushing it here. It also included language to exempt from civil suits if the shoot was justified IIRC. That would be nice because using force in TX always carries the weight of possibly getting sued whic...

Put it in the trunk before you go in. 30.06 only prohibits you possessing the weapon under the authority of a CHL. If it is in the trunk and not on your person you are not violating 30.06.

If the cop saw you though, I have to wonder what he was thinking. I went to Grapevine Mills mall in Grapevine, TX one time and I was armed. As I was approaching the entrance I was scanning for a 30.06 sign and noticed a large sign off to the side with a cop standing right next to it. I approached t...

FWIW the ATF considers it illegal. I have a letter from them. However, this is not a 'judgement' but an opinion.

Kevin is exactly right. We all know that it is perfectly legal to ship long guns through the USPS. Also, the gun would be boxed, with an FFL copy inside. So if I walk into the Post Office, with a longgun in a box, and ship it, then haven't I just entered a post office with a concealed firearm? And ...

The premise is that it tends to be lower-educated, lower-income people that are having abortions. Same demographic that commits most crimes. So when more of these women have abortions, there are less fatherless criminal teens walking the street. It is a very frank statement, but it makes sense.

But with the danger of a child finding gun at home, or the threat of a burglar killing you with your own weapon, it is safer to keep something in the house like pepper spray to use in an emergency, he said. He cautioned citizens against being too quick to use a gun.

Perhaps so, but they had both of the signs up so I couldn't tell which one was the "right" one.
