Re: Secure compliance vs. Convertible Automobile

Islands7 wrote:The most obvious compliance would be one of those lockboxes that steel cable to one of the car's fixed metal pieces - but is this purchase really necessary, as per the law?
I don't see anything in the law that makes that purchase necessary. However, they only cost $30-40 so opinion deleted.

Re: Friendswood: Man arrested for pulling gun on trespassers

TPC §30.05 does not set a time requirement as to how quickly someone must leave the property. I suggest that offering an explanation to the property owner as to why they were there does not constitute "failing" to leave when told to do so. Isn't it the same time requirement as 30.06? :mrg...

Re: An argument against 30.06

I would make a distinction between private property on to which the public has a reasonable expectation of an open invitation, by its purpose (bar, restaurant, store) vs private property on to which the public has no reasonable expectation of an open invitation (house, private club, etc.). IANAL, o...

Re: "Possession of Unauthorized Firearms"

I've never heard of a employee manual that didn't prohibit firearms. I have never seen it personally, but I bet Charles' employee manual doesn't have a restriction on carrying. That is unless it specifies you HAVE to carry a 1911. Our employee manual doesn't mention firearms or weapons. One o...

I think it's more important to carry at work instead of leaving it in my car. That's why I don't work for anti-gun bigots.

Just my two centavos.

Re: I'm Puzzled by TX Law

Furthermore, paraphrasing Section 9.32, "I am justified in using deadly force against mongo if I would be justified in using [any kind of] force against mongo under Section 9.31." How does that sound? It sounds like you missed an " and " in 9.32. You're justified in using deadly...

Re: Should the American Flag Be Banned -- in America?

If student safety is a priority, maybe they should expel or prosecute the terrorists who hate America and threaten to attack Americans.

That makes more sense than penalizing Americans for evercising their First Amendment rights inside the USA. :nono:
