Naming Names
We have had discussions about instructors who were either intentionally misleading (potential) students about the CHL laws, or were not competent and didn't know the laws. In those discussions, it was "discouraged" to name names. Example: http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&...

Re: Carry at work???
Unless the building/offices are posted 30.06 or off-limits by law (courts, bars, etc.) it sounds like you're legal to carry at work.txrenegade wrote:said nothing about weapons of any kind.

I think it violates one of the Federal laws infringing on the right to keep and bear arms.

Nope. They're pistols, same as a Browning Hi-Power. Until you put a reproduction of one of these on it.pbwalker wrote:Which led me to question AR Pistols. Aren't those SBRs?

The law I read said "intoxicated" but maybe I missed something. Do you have a cite?Griz44 wrote:When carrying, the limit is "impaired" not "intoxicated".

Re: Why is OC not allowed in Texas?
I would ask that anyone with a coherent basis for why OC is not allowed in this great state to respond. Historically, it was to prevent Freedmen from bearing arms. Now, it's mostly antigun bigotry and intolerance, but there's still some racism in the mix. Fundamentally, those are also the reasons w...

Re: Well.... Color Me Stupid
I'm not sure exactly why it happened, but I did wind up owning 2 pistols. Same brand, same design. The one difference was that one came with a higher-capacity 17-round magazine, and the other pistol was a smaller version, with a 13-round capacity. I have no problem switiching between different mode...
