Re: A rare Gold Cup National Match (45 ACP)

Oh man! I hate to see that. Why does that stuff always happen when people are out of town?? It's uncanny how often that is the case. However, a new highpower and Gold cup ought to settle your nerves, just enough! Congrats on the "good money spent!" :anamatedbanana

Wow. With a 270 grain bullet at 2590 fps, you're packing some very serious energy there.
True- my shoulder hurt just reading that! (stinking surgery- no 'natural recoil pad' left in that shoulder. ...lol)

Re: 1911 firing pin return spring question

Extra power firing pin springs are often used as a sort of drop safety for pre series 80 guns... preventing inertia fire if you drop it on the muzzle. You can also use a standard spring and a titanium firing pin for the same effect, although I imagine it's cheaper to replace the spring than the fir...

Re: Why Glock didn't make the Army Cut

The article made glock look like an awfully arrogant bunch... if it's reported accurately. Either way, you submit for a proposal and sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. It's not like they were tied and glock lost over a tiny price difference. It reads as if sig won the testing AND was much le...

Re: This item could not fly..

Too bad... looks beautiful. Was it a non functional [actual] pistol or was it a decorative item that looked like a pistol?

I hope you were able to send it home with someone there vs. give it up.

Welcome home! :tiphat:

Re: Oregon Confiscation Law

I wonder if a wrongfully accused person can sue the ill-intentioned accuser in civil court?? That would be a way to keep it in check- financial ruin for a wrongful accuser.

If not, first anonymous accusation should go against the dem's personal security personnel.

Comforted was the word that came to mind for me.

Although I'm happy when on the range, shooting my gun... but that's a recreational activity. :fire

Re: Concealed Carry for Short Folks

flechero, Thanks for your recommendation. I'll give the more radical cant a try. Any suggestions for (right-handed) holsters that I can adjust to a 25-30 degree cant? Crash If you are used to a simple Kydex, try PJ Holsters. Paul has up to 30 degrees as an option and will custom the ride height wit...

Re: This Texting While Driving is really starting to get to me!

I'm not saying punctuality isn't a hallmark of a productive person, but on the other hand every time a manager is hard on someone for showing up late, it's a little vote for more multitasking behind the wheel . Or maybe just set the alarm 5 minutes earlier? We're all adults... by the time you are g...

Re: Concealed Carry for Short Folks

I I'm right handed and the 3:30 - 4:00 position doesn't work too well as I had surgery on my right shoulder a few years back and my range of motion is limited. Suggestions? I'm opposite- Left handed but had surgery on my left shoulder. I also have limited range of motion and will never regain it. F...
