Re: SCOTUS: Dems introduce bill to add 4 new Justices

What I honestly do not understand is how the Democrats can honestly believe they will stay in power forever. It will change and hopefully the Republicans (or their replacement) will show the Democrats that they learned their lessons. The Democrats went to 13 because that is enough to get them a maj...

Re: LTC Instructors standing with Bloomberg

On a local FB page post about Constitutional Carry a woman posted that she was opposed because the bill would damage local small businesses like her BIL’s LTC business. SMH

Re: Hose to vote on DC statehood on Tuesday

Can anyone tell me how the dems can beat the clock on anything they dream up, no matter how off the rails, but when the Rep's had all 3 branches, we go very little done fast???? I know they are better at cheating but the timelines are pretty concrete, no? The last time the Republicans controlled al...

Re: Today, was a bucket list day!

That is awesome. The M1 is on my short list. I have my FIL’s M1911A1 that he carried during WW2 (all matching numbers) along with the holster, magazines, and some of the actual ammo he was issued. Would love to display a period rifle with it.

Re: Property taxes

If I were king I could fix this problem onernight. Government says your property is worth X. You say it is worth Y. Government either changes your property value to Y or buys it from you for Y. Of course if I were king I would probably want all of your money and not do a darn thing about lowering yo...

Re: Gen 1 Glock 27 Value

Are you sure this is a Gen 1 Glock 27? To my knowledge the only Gen 1 Glocks produced were Glock 17s and a very few Glock 19s. A Gen 1 Glock has the "speckled" finish all the way around the grip with no checkering front or back and no finger grooves. To my knowledge Glock 27s start at Gen...

Re: School activity involving homeschoolers

Maybe I'm just missing it in the text of the penal code, but I do not see the words "certified" or "accredited" used to qualify a school. It simply says: "School" means a private or public elementary or secondary school. Only place I found it defined was 46.11 If Leepe...

Re: School activity involving homeschoolers

I am a home school parent. Home schools in Texas are viewed as non-certified private schools. Your child does not receive a high school diploma from the state of Texas upon graduation. I don’t see how these gatherings could possibly be viewed as a school sponsored activity when Co-ops are little mor...

Re: Hunt ISD teachers can now carry

Curious if any of these institutions have adopted a blanket policy of allowing all licensed staff to carry and how many require almost impossible hurdles to get “approval”.

I have the G19, G26, and the G43. About all I ever carry these days is the G43. Very slim and comfortable and easy to carry extra mags.

I would oppose any legislation that made these signs more commonplace. IMHO it would result in signs going up in non-restricted areas.

Re: A test for Anti-concealed carry

A suggestion: If someone tells you they are against concealed carry because the carrier doesn’t have enough training and therefore creates a hazardous situation, ask them to take this test: You are in a store with your two kids and a BG enters and starts shooting at people indiscriminately, walking...

Could only imagine the outrage had the roles been reversed. MSM would have been screaming hate crime.
