I am a facilities manager. I use the Streamlight PolyTac often and it gets dropped and banged around a lot. It throws a good beam and if (when) I lose or break it I’m not out a lot of money. About $45 and 600 lumens. Nice balance between cost, lumens, and durability.

Anyone have news on HB1069 - First Responder Training?
HB1069 was brought up in the instructor's class. Has anyone heard anything else about the instructor training other than it may be patterned after the School Safety class? Any leads on when they will start instructor classes? The bill says we can start teaching the class Jan. 1, 2022. Hard to see t...

Different Triggers On Different ARs in Safe.
I have several ARs that I have put together. They all have mil-spec triggers of varying refinement. One is hard, gritty, and long while I have a couple that are tolerable and a couple somewhere in between. I am looking to start upgrading triggers. I think I would like to put a two-stage on my coyote...

Re: Instructor update
Ten hour round-trip drive, and a night in a hotel, and the 'class' lasted 1 hour. That 1 hour included the time to take the test and have it graded. 12 hours round-trip, hotel, and a PTO day. I overheard one gentleman say he was from Stratford. They couldn't give a good answer to most of the questi...

Re: New 2019 FBI Handgun Qualification
A well known trainer told us in a class one time that the FBI test was little more than a sobriety test . We took it so we could say we passed it. If that's true, why does Tom Givens make it part of his instructor qualification course? It's not a perfect test, but I would say better than a lot of t...

Questions about Sutherland Springs shooting
I am working on a presentation and was looking for some details about the Sutherland Springs shooting. I've waded through countless news reports but haven't found what I'm looking for. Nor have I been able to locate any "official" documentation. My questions are: 1) What was the timeline o...

Re: My carry Optic I do believe.
I have tinkered with both red and green dots, tinkered being the key word. Between the two I feel I can pick up the red dot better. Maybe it's just what I'm more used to. I feel like the green dot washes out in the sunlight too much. I have the Holosun 507c on my XDM with suppressor sights. It takes...
