Re: Is Open Carry Activism Threatening our CHL rights.
Burning GLBT folks in effigy may be your first amendment right, but it will not win you any support to defeat a marriage law. I agree but if we're drawing parallels, the OC demonstrations are more like Gay Pride parades and other events. Some people are offended but it's hard to deny they raise awa...

Re: OCT Severs ties with Tarrant County Chapter.
You know, we currently have a solution for people who want to carry a handgun but not be obvious about it... That's true but it makes me wonder. Would people support similar restrictions on displaying religious faith in a public place or is it only the right to keep and bear arms they think should ...

Re: Patterson endorses Dewhurst?
I wonder if Patterson's "leak" might open him up to some sort of HIPPA violation..... Was he Patrick's doctor? IANAL but my understanding is it could be a HIPAA violation if Celebrity X's doctor leaks that she's pregnant but there's no HIPAA protection if a paparazzo photographs Celebrity...

Re: Killeen TX: Multiple officers shot serving no knock warr
One officer I know at relatively small town (population 25,000) had a clever scenario. On one search warrant, he had the utilities department call and tell perpetrator he was $15 past due on a water bill and needed to pay it in person that day or his water would be turned off. He left, was detained...

Re: Why I Carry:
Like Dragonfighter, I'm glad everybody went home in one piece. There's so much paperwork these days when things escalate. I made a decision a long time ago that my first line of "best defense" is to run over my assailants if I'm attacked when I'm in a vehicle. It's not justified to back up...

Re: Enhanced CHL
I was thinking to myself today about the concept of Enhanced CHL that would afford privileges somewhere between Peace Officer and regular CHL. Extended privledges could include things such as being able to carry in off-limits places like bars and schools, being exempt from 30.06, being able to open...

I always pick up a few packs of colored index cards during back to school. They're good for transition drills.TBJK wrote:Man I like that idea. I thinks that's going into my bag.gigag04 wrote: One my old instructors always used 3x5 notecards. He always said aim small, miss small.

Re: Poll, PC 30.06 in "Private Businesses"
it boils down to this.... either you believe in private property rights, or you don't. either you believe in the right to conduct private business as one sees fit, or you don't. :iagree: However, for better or worse, the Federal government has decided that we don't have those rights any longer.
