I agree with lowering the penalty for 30.06 as missing a sign shouldn't be a criminal event.
Whatever happened to penalties for improperly posted 30.06 signs? And what about some way of validating a sign is properly posted? It's hard in some cases, to find true ownership of the area that's posted.

Re: Robber shot by man with CHL
Props to the CHL for shooting center mass.
Here's to hoping he heals well.
And this event happened in the middle of the day! Stay aware, people!

Re: Mizuno Lone Star Classic
It's not school sponsored in anyway. The players aren't paid, so they're not professionals. City owns the center so no 30.06.
I've looked it over and I can't find any way carrying there violates the law.

Mizuno Lone Star Classic
Any thoughts on the CHL worthiness of this?
Dallas Convention Center.
Not school sponsored.
Club teams.
IANAL, but I don't seen anything that would prevent carrying.

Re: Cinemark "no guns allowed"
Speaking of cinemark. I go to the one in plano quite often. I noticed a few weeks ago that they have a cop standing in the entry lobby. I don't recall noticing this before. It sure made me feel a whole lot safer knowing a cop would be standing in the lobby in case some nut decided to start shooting...

Re: Employer liability in gun free zone?
FYI. NRA is looking for help to "crack down" on companies that are ignoring the parking lot law. Basically, shoot them an email with proof of the offending company. http://www.nraila.org/legislation/state-legislation/2012/8/texas-help-the-nra-ila-identify-non-compliance-among-employers-on-...

Re: Employer liability in gun free zone?
I'm okay with that "both ways" thing, because as I see it, that's the way it is now, except one way: they are never responsible. I shouldn't have to prove that I would have been successful at defending myself, I am suing them for not allowing me a chance. They made the environment more da...

Re: 2013 and Cities Improperly posting 30.06
I just sent my Texas state senator AND representative an email regarding this. Texas should have a law similar to Florida that punishes government officials that ignore the law of CCW. It's sad when we know the laws better and are affected more than the supposed guardians of them.

Re: City of Houston Video... surviving an 'active shooter'..
I like how the last option is "fight". Hey...if that building didn't disarm the law abiding citizens, "fight" would be the FIRST option, and probably save the most lives. Comments people leaving on this link: http://www.federalnewsradio.com/473/2966001/DHS-funded-video-gives-tips...

Got my nasty-gram... Dear XXXX: On or about XX/XX/XXXX, X:XX:XX PM, while you were at Dallas/Fort Worth International, you presented yourself and your accessible property for inspection. During the screening process a prohibited item (5 empty firearm magazines) was discovered. Your possession of thi...
