he pressed the trigger, causing the gun to fire
Is that what the police report said or are those words your own personal assesment of the circumstances of the tragedy?

"I know a lot of people are concerned about big brother. My response to that is, if you're not doing anything wrong, why should you worry about it?" While his words may be technically correct - a better way of expressing that opinion may have been: 'When you are in a in a public place whe...

I read the article and I didn't see where he was quoted as saying he was suggesting putting cameras INSIDE private buildings. The word "IN" was the reporter's words - not the Chief's What I got from this piece of 'journalism', (and don't get me started on reporter's biases and hidden agend...

Will Rogers Exhibit hall

A couple of months ago I went to the gun show at Will Rogers Exhibit Hall. At the admission table next to the LEOs checking weapons was a large sign that had non-30.06 language stating no concealed weapons allowed - including concealed licensed holders. So I went back to my vehicle and locked it up ...

Governmental entity subject

I attended a public Townhall meeting in North Richland Hills a few months ago with U. S. Rep. Burgess. It was held in the city council chambers on a Saturday.

I felt that is/was probably permissable to carry, but I didn't because I was't sure.

Any opinions or comments?

Re: sports authority

I doubt they will last. Academy is the way to go anyway :D Before you make Academy your FIRST choice look at this link: http://www.buyblue.org/node/72/view/summary I will patronize Academy but only as a last resort. They support the democratic (anti 2nd ammendment) party with 95% of their contribut...

Oshmans

When the 'texas 7' prison escapees murdered Irving police officer Aubrey Hawkins on Christmas eve in 2000 behind the Oshmans store, the chain of stores were never the same.
It was like they tried to make the hunting department 'invisible'.

Re: HPD got me...

The only thing that bothered me was that he ask where "it" was...I told him, and he said this... "Good thing I didn't ask you to step out of the truck." I was a bit taken back by that, and decided to ignore the jab, if it was one... Like you I'm unclear about that statement from...

Moral of the story: Keep your animals locked up on your own property for their own safety, and others. They are dumb animals - up to the owner to protect them. IF the media is reporting the complete and factual story (which is ALWAYS in question) it was an unwise choice on the part of the woman shoo...

CZ RAMI

I picked up a RAMI 9mm at a gun show a while back. It was sweet! I sure would like to fire a .40 but I would probably have to buy it afterward and then I would be in BIG trouble. ''

Thanks Chas,
The ownership being the key was kinda what I thought.
I don't go into the bookstore often, but when I do I leave the gun in the car.

University bookstore?

This may be a dumb question, but what about carrying in a private enterprise college-campus bookstore that leases building from and operates with university approval. For example, the Efollet bookstore in a stand-alone building at UT Arlington? Perhaps the answer should be obvious to me, and I proba...
