Two friends, one a retired Marine Colonel, the other a retired Army SF Major and myself a former E5 paratrooper all agree we woildn't last five minutes in today's armed forces. There isn't one of us who are PC enough.

I have an OEM 9mm barrel for my M&P 40 it fits and functions fine. The 40 mags work OK but, a 9mm mag works best. YMMV

I have found little difference between ambi and non ambi charging handles. I do find the larger "tactical" latches to be better than the Mil Spec latch. If you want to put an ambi latch on your rifle buy the latch only and change it yourself you will save a bucket of money. Amazon and Ebay...
