Re: Texas State Fair CHL Question

It's almost that time again. This will be my first time carrying at the fair. Any other tips? Stay home. Put your feet up. Eat healthy? I only want to go so my kids have memories of us doing stuff together. Won't be many of us out of the state cause I worry about the recip laws. When I do go to oth...

Re: State Park and Army Corp of Engineer

I pulled this from the case. Does it not mean that they can not ban firearms until the final ruling is made? IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the motion for preliminary injunction (docket no. 4) is GRANTED. The Corps is enjoined from enforcing 36 C.F.R. § 327.13 as to law-abiding individuals possessing f...

Re: CHL Holders kill man Breaking Into Neighbor's Home

You may want to take another look at those CHL insurance groups. The ones that I have looked say in fine print that they will cover you up to and including the grand jury. This tells me if you are indicted, you are on your own. I was at a seminar last week for [pre-paid legal]. I deliberately asked...

Re: M&P Shield with no thumb safety

My wife's Shield thumb safety is quite stiff. I'd have a hard time believing when holstering or in the holster the safety going on. It's also a small safety as well.

Re: Carry while doing yard work

If I'm not working then I'm carrying. Until my company allows me to legally carry, I will continue in this way. I'd like to carry 100%, that's for sure.

Man I'm glad to hear of this stuff happening. Often when there is an issue it is a royal pita to get it taken care of. They have my attention now.

Re: bench vise

I need to get a vise. I just don't have the room for a workbench. I have been looking up some alternatives and saw someone on AR15.com make one out of a heavy duty 3 step ladder with the vise bolted to the top. It pretty much made it portable where he can just fold the ladder to put it away in a co...

Re: My Glock 29 Gen 4 few months later

I load my mag with snap caps & continually go through them. I will spend 45 min or so doing that when I do the snap cap training. It helps that's for sure, but my wife looks at me crazy when I do that training.

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry

I'm no gun smith but I think some guns get a bad wrap because of the failure of their owners to properly maintain them. For instance, my first gun was a Smith and Wesson Sigma 9mm which I think S&W has since removed the Sigma name because they had bad press due to jamming. I shot thousands of r...

Re: Police Academy Adventures

Ive shot .357 before and even though its more recoil I liked it. I will try to shot the firearm first but I don't know of any gun shops that allow you to do that, doesn't hurt to ask though. If your stuck on getting .357 sig then you get a glock .40s&w then switch the barrels out. Just putting ...
