Re: Letter to Governor Rick Perry
Very nice letter, hopefully we get something going. anything wrong with using one of these free online fax services like myfax.com or faxzero.com? I worry about what information they skim off your "free" fax. My name, address, email and phone.... and subject matter... Nothing is truly fre...

Re: Letter to Governor Rick Perry
Hi Chas - thanks for the letter - can you send out a call on the TFC email list as well (I think I only received 2 or 3 calls to action via the TFC list over the session). I have talked to a dozen or so folks that I believe signed up for TFC around the midpoint of this session, and many of them are ...

Re: Are HB 508 and SB 1907 the Main Sausage Left
Before y'all run Carona out of town on a rail, have you looked at the pro 2a bills he has helped with in the past? There are a lot. Also, after watching the TX legislature fairly closely for 4 sessions now, I agree with Chas that Carona's amendment helps pass a bill like hb3218 in upcoming sessions....

HB 508 update - Senate conference committee report filed - http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLook ... Bill=HB508
Not sure if this means they reached agreement with the House conference committee members or not.

SA Express News...'gun experts'
These guys crack me up. They make up laws regularly. This time, they claim that you cannot currently carry a revolver if you qualified with a semi auto (yes, I know the inverse is currently illegal). What is more sad is they will meld their misinformation with politicians statements and achieve a de...

"For all intents and purposes, HB 972 is dead......" If thats the case, there are some folks currently in Austin that deserve to be staked to an ant hill. This is ridiculous....Again! Well, we still have the cryptic comments by Whitmire http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/politics/texas_legi...

Re: Gun bills on the Senate intent calendar today
Looks like campus carry (HB 972) will die again this session. You young pups will have to take up the torch. I give up. Looks like they're doing cleanup now before adjourning for the night. Isn't tomorrow still a possibility (or am I reading the calendar wrong here) http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlo...

How is hb48 looking For a vote today (removes chl renewal class)? This would seem to me to be less controversial than hb972.

Re: HB 508, HB 928, HB 972, HB 1349 on the Senate Calendar t
Senator Carona "amended" the bill by attaching a different bill to it. It passed, so now it becomes law, including the amendment, which grants elected officials special privileges they're not willing to give us. Since he's my Senator, he will definitely be hearing from me as soon as I hav...
