Re: If you have Amazon devices like Ring or Echo...
I still turned it off but one thing this "feature" does is helps track those "tracking tags" like Tile that you can buy and put on things like keys, dogs, kids back packs, etc. The more phones, devices etc that have something like this turned on, better the tracking works as the...

Re: If you have Amazon devices like Ring or Echo...
All it shares is your connection (a tiny amount) for OTHER Ring and Sidewalk devices... your neighbor isn't going to be browsing the web over your connection... it's a bunch of fake news... if you use the internet (TOR, etc. or pay with cash) you still don't have any privacy... Stop thinking you do.

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now
... Long and short: House concurs with Senate changes, on to the governor. House doesn't concur, conference committee hashes out differences. BOTH chambers must approve conference committee changes for it to go on to the governor, if not bill is dead. Aw, I couldn't find that in a hurry, thanks for...

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now
We are now reviewing amendments that were added by the Senate to look for issues that would break House rules governing the purpose of HB 1927,” said State Rep. Matt Schaefer, R-Tyler, who authored the legislation, in a tweet Wednesday night. “Our first impression has us very concerned. Will share ...

Re: If Const. Carry passes, a signage question
If constitutional carry were to pass it appears the current 30.06/30.07 would be changed from "licensed holder" to "person" which would mean the signs would apply to all persons who carry. Would there be a mechanism for private property holders to bar non-licensed holders but to...

Re: Electricity Providers
I'm curious: If you have Griddy, does Oncor (or its equivalent) still have the option to cut your power, even though you're willing to pay spot prices for power? I ask this as a Direct Energy (and Oncor) customer who has been without power for over 50 hours and counting. Yes, who generates your pow...

Re: Alternate Comms
All they need to shut down ham radio is some kind of precipitating event to use as an excuse. For example, somebody sets off a bomb, and investigators find out they planned it using ham radio. Pow, it'd be shut down in a heartbeat. Shutting down ham radio would not be easy at all. Hundreds of thous...
