Re: Today I sent a complement to the Trooper that cited me
I thought I had posted after speaking to Trooper Nix, but I guess not. Getting a hold of the Trooper was more involved then I had assumed it would be. For obvious reason they don't hand out trooper phone numbers, but they also dont let troopers call citizens directly . The Trooper has an operator ca...

Your insurance information should be in the State database and they can look it up. I have been stopped and my insurance app wouldn't let me log in. Has never been a problem as long as you actually have insurance. Yes it SHOULD pull up on the state database, but it might not due to human or compute...

Re: Two arrested in Buda after argument escalated into...
Budapest. IIRC, there are 2 sides to this city. One side is Buda, and the other is Pest/Peche (sp?). The 2 sides of town put together are called Budapest. SIA Only one city name far as I know..Buda. We have a range and class room there and have had for a bunch of years. I've spent many a weekend in...

Re: EDC knife
My EDC knife is a Benchmade AFO II auto opener, Blade Steel: 154CM (58-61) Handle Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum(Black) There may in fact be "better" knifes, but for me, as I've carried an AFO (the version before the AFO II) for many years having been issued one a long time ago..this design is...

It's an IR Hunter MK3 60mm thermal weapon sight.
I think Trijicon bought IR Hunter a year or two ago, so it may be marketed under that brand now.

Re: PG&E Cutting Power
That is truly beyond belief! I would have just fired up my chainsaw and made firewood out of it. The micromanagement of people's lives and property boggles the mind. I could NEVER live in such a place. At least not peacefully. Oh that old thing? What? it fell over in the wind last Thursday so we cu...

Re: Family pets?, Micorchip please
We just verified our dog's registration from 2011. Updated the information also. Excellent, our recommendation is to have the pet scanned for a chip at least once a year. You are verifying its still present, works and take note of its location. At the same time, log into the pets profile. Makes sur...

Re: Family pets?, Micorchip please
New years and fireworks go hand in hand across the US. Regrettable fireworks and lost pets also go hand in hand. Fluffy and Killers best chance of making it home is a microchip and updated pet profile. Please chip your pets. My wife and I cover eight counties McLennan, Hill, Bell, Coryell, Falls, Bo...

Re: New CZ 75B SA
No to hijack the thread, but many have commented on the CGW work on their CZs making a huge difference. Did you all buy the CGW parts and install yourselves or send the guns out to have them do work on it? Anyone have done both and can compare? Anyone have a Cajunized CZ 75 they would bring to DPC ...

Re: "Criminal Motorcycle Gang" and LTC
At the very least, I think most officers would be willing to listen to you. Some would be willing to calmly discuss the issue but I think most would read what you had and then make up their mind without discussing it further. A few would politely tell you that you need to discuss that with your att...

Re: Family pets?, Micorchip please
Any recommendations on a chipper(?) near Angleton (south of Houston)? Sorry no, too far outside my normal range. Look to low cost shot clinics, rescues, Animal shelter, local FB groups. Most Tractor supply store bring in a Low(ish) cost shot clinic every Saturday. Look for someone using Smart Tag, ...

Steve a follow up question somewhat related. I dont have contact much with law enforcement when Im the subject of the contact in a negative way. That said, Im not perfect I make mistakes. Its commonly said and I agree, on the side of the road is not the place to argue a point of law... Sign the cita...

Charles, Steve, I cant thank you both enough for taking the time to respond. Clearly I thought this was a very muddied issue, and I see it is more clearly then I previously understood. Not withstanding the finale question Steve has added to the mix. On a personal position as I do carry in a manner c...
