Re: Ruger LCP MAX
My experience (and date of purchase) closely resemble that of "chamberc". I practice with my reloads and carry with Speer Gold Dot. I don't carry the LC9 often as I have other pistols that came out later that I prefer to carry but I am not getting rid of it. The LCPs are handy when I can't...

Re: hey everyone!
Welcome back and welcome to Alvin. Quite little town, have lived here for almost 30 years. We finally got a Chick Fil A so we are not uptown. PSC is only a few minutes away, need to get on the membership list there as soon as possible. Until you do, you can always shoot with the Women's Shooting Pro...

Re: If you had the carry choice
Compact Commander (commander length barrel with officer length grip) aluminum frame 1911 in 45 ACP. 7 + 1 in pistol and two extra magazines on the other side that are 8 round magazines. OWB holster. Grip it tightly and it is amazingly accurate. Very comfortable to carry all day.

Well, that sets the stage for an appeal.

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19)( SARS-CoV-2) from China: Its going to be bad.
I saw/heard a similar recommendation from another doctor's lecture. She recommended vitamin D, zinc, magniesium and vitamin C. I have been doing that combination for many years for other reasons. I have not taken the injections for COVID either, out of concerns expressed by more than a few highly cr...

I have been to 8 classes with Paul. You will really enjoy the class. Be warned, you will want to take more classes in the future.

Re: The mean streets of gun free Washington DC
The original purpose of the justice system is to prevent retribution by other family members. Society punishes, not the family of the victim. I hope his children remember that. When the legal system does not do it job, there will come a time when others will or society will completely break down. &...

Andy,
Thank you for the information. Fortunately, the feed ramps are on the barrels on the Dan Wessons that I have.

Re: Aluminum Frame 1911 45 ACP
Folks, Thank you for the replies and input. RPBrown, glad to hear that your 1911 has gone 50,000 rounds. I am shooting mine a lot as I am on the Emergency Response Team at church and have to cover one of the pastors. The Dan Wessons are what I carry when on duty at church. Shooting an officer size g...

Re: Aluminum Frame 1911 45 ACP
Agreed. I will blow past 20,000 rounds on the "practice" pistol well before the warranty is up. Dan Wesson told me that this pistol was designed to be a carry pistol and not to be shot a lot. I am surprised that they would put that in an email to me. I told them that they should put this i...

Aluminum Frame 1911 45 ACP
I have some questions for my 1911 brethren. I have carried an all steel full size 1911 but it gets really heavy after a full day. I decided that I wanted an aluminum frame commander length barreled 1911 for a carry gun and pondered that for several years. Buds had a Dan Wesson Valkyrie in 45 ACP (al...

Re: CZ to buy Colt?
I thought that maybe I was unique in my experience with new Dan Wessons. I bought several of the Valkyries in 45 a little over a year ago and all three need to go back. Somewhat minor issues but things that need to be fixed. I just don’t like the idea of releasing these things in the current environ...
