Re: Red light cameras

I do worry about the Slippery slope. First On Red Lights, next thing you know they'll put cameras on Radars and give you speeding tickets.

Now, that is an interesting idea. Wow. I'd be in BIG trouble. I go over the speed limit ALL the time. 51 in a 50 and stuff like that.

Re: Tell us about your gun battle experiences

Yes, thank you for sharing your story. With everything else remaining the same, how do you think you would have fared had you had the gun IWB/OWB...or generally pulling from somewhere other than your jacket? I really wonder about response times to react when something happens. I think we can all pul...

Re: US Military Rifle Scopes Inscribed With Bible Verses

California based hamburger chain In 'N Out Burger puts the same things on all their drink containers, and for largely the same reason. The family that started and owns the business are Christians, and that is what they do. Nobody cares. Please, don't anybody tell Michael "Mikey" Weinstein...

Re: Tell us about your gun battle experiences

I put a single .357 round (Winchester Silvertip from a Ruger Speed Six, FWIW) into a mugger's chest walking home one night, that was all it took; I did empty my 1911 once and had to immediately reload, but that was during a riot. Had to swap rifle mags a few times in Iraq during a few punch-ups, bu...

Re: What is your Limit?

Stop watching karate movies and thinking that after you get hit by someone you are gona get up (or take it) and then do a little kissy foot with them in the street. Unless you are a loud mouthed punk that shouldnt have a CHL, you are doing EVERYTHING in your power to stay off the radar and a fight i...

Re: Carrying a spare mag

Nice to know that there are other sickos like myself that carry an extra mag  My Hi-point 9mm is an 8+1, so I carry 1 extra mag. Since it is single stack, it isnt too hard to carry it in clothing. When I am not wearing business casual clothes, I wear carpenter pants and place the extra mag into...

Re: Checking on a Neighbor, Legal to Carry?

Yes, it would have been illegal to take your gun off your property to investigate. A "better" solution would have been to call the police and let them sort it out. I know that you are excited at being able to have a gun on you 24/7 legally and being able to "stop crime", however,...

Re: Taking my CHL class tomorrow

Oh yea, DEFINTELY make sure that all of your information is filled in. This forum is littered with "forgot this" type comments for not filling out the form....and dont rely 100% on the instructor to complete it correctly for you.

Re: Taking my CHL class tomorrow

Definetely have your gun primed and ready to go (unloaded for course). Prepare for a 10 hour lesson that will be fun and informative (depending on the instructor). Don't sweat the written test (but pay attention to all of the information). Dont sweat the shooting test, but look around and count the ...

Re: Defying Gravity

Does anyone actually know where this style actually started and what it is supposed to mean? I will probably be proven wrong here (I havent snoped this), but my understanding is that this is started in prison. Basically the guys that looked like this were being sodomized by the other prisoners. I d...

Re: The Future of CHL

My qualifying gun was my hi-point 9m and it is also my daily carry weapon. I do agree with having folks take the in person class. I know it is a pain for some of use, but there are a few folks that need to get in front of other people to remind "us" why some people shouldnt have a gun ;-) ...

Re: Texas City: armed robbery

One thing that I picked up on, which I am sure y'all did as well was the fact that the robbers were talking about killing the victims EVEN THOUGH THE COMPLIED with their demands. I keep seeing this more and more where the bad guys shoot the victims even after they do everything that is demanded of t...

Re: First Time to Pull My Gun

I know shooting the dog would have created all kinds of problems for me and it was the last thing I wanted to do, I am curious as to why you wrote this part. I may be overanalyzing, but the part of "all kinds of problems", do you think that you would have went to jail/ got sued, etc.??? I...
