Re: Don't need to show LTC to LEO when carrying.

So here's how the law reads: [GC §411.205. REQUIREMENT TO DISPLAY LICENSE. If a license holder is carrying a handgun on or about the license holder’s person when a magistrate or a peace officer demands that the license holder display identification, the license holder shall display both the license...

Re: Don't need to show LTC to LEO when carrying.

DPS requires a copy of resident state DL or ID for nonresident applicants. I'm not sure what they would do if somebody sent a copy of their passport instead. Since a Passport is Federal rather than State Issued I don't believe that alone would be accepted. I just copied everything I had a...

Re: OR: Woman comes home to find someone in bathroom

Not sure how the bathroom door got locked. Pretty sure it would only take a second to peek under the door and see what's going on. Hopefully she is elderly or at least half deaf so she has a good reason for not hearing the vacuum itself. ...and whats the cops excuse...? :leaving You're a cop invest...

Re: Africa: In case you were thinking of visiting

Don't paint a whole continent based on exceptional events in one, two, or a handful of countries. Everyone who can should visit Africa if they have any desire to see it, just book your travel with reputable people and make sure security is provided throughout the trip. You can also book "trip i...

Re: TX: You don't pull your gun because someone eggs your car.

Also left the scene of the accident and failed to render aid. Didn’t say LTC. I thought that's only required if you're in a vehicle involved in a collision. https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/Docs/TN/htm/TN.550.htm Are they going to charge everybody who drove past without rendering aid? If the stor...

Re: TX: You don't pull your gun because someone eggs your car.

Do we believe the teens who were driving illegally and supposedly threw eggs and then ran a red light and killed someone? They claim that their first victim drew a gun. We should believe this why? I would not rush to judgement on whether an unknown man "pulled a gun" and got away. Perhaps...

Two male students at Lacey Township High School in New Jersey posted photos of guns on Snapchat. One of the boys captioned his photo with "hot stuff" and "if there's ever a zombie apocalypse, you know where to go." The photos were not taken at school. They were not taken during ...

John Lott addressing red-flag gun laws: These laws may damage trust between people. In the absence of a Red Flag law, a person contemplating homicide or suicide might speak to a friend or family member and be dissuaded from that course of action. But now there may be a fear that the authorities wil...
