Re: new guy with a question :)

So many armchair lawyers, so little time. The DPS has a FAQ for LTC. http://dps.texas.gov/rsd/chl/faqs/ Relevant information: 21. If I received deferred adjudication for an offense, am I eligible for a Texas License to Carry a Handgun (LTC)? Texas Government Code Chapter 411, Subchapter H states tha...

Re: Wounded Warrior Project fires CEO and COO. Great news!

The money that WWP gives to individual vets is 2% of their income. Their executives get 3% (cumulative). They do give some money to other organizations, but their direct help to vets is 2%. 55% of their expenses go to programs that help people, but they only spend 47.6% of what they take in, so the ...

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas

And if The Great Wall of China that was built 206 BC that stretches 13000 miles or so is feasible, I think the our wall is a no brainier. Are you aware that the wall is already a matter of law? The law states that the wall will be built. It even provides the funding to build the wall. Both Cruz and...

West Virginia Passes Permitless Carry

http://www.wtrf.com/story/31393420/west ... idden-guns

The legislature overrode the Governor's veto. West Virginians can now carry openly or concealed without a permit. The legislature also strengthened the law and punishments for illegal carry (felons, etc.).

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas

We will just have to agree to disagree Mojo. Cruz flip flopped as well, and no, that doesn't mean that two wrongs make a right. No, he did not. That's a lie that Rubio has spread around and a lot of people have believed. https://www.txantimedia.com/?p=2136 All of the enmity towards Trump in this th...

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas

Like TAM, I am done with both parties. Let them and the country rot. That seems to be what Americans want. On the right, the leading candidate is a pathological liar and a scam artist and yet he's very popular with many voters. On the left you have a pathological liar who is a detestable person and ...

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas

I think you know that I'm very skeptical and cynical person Charles. It is not something that I'm proud of, but that's who I am. I trust nobody and nothing except for my Lord and the scripture. I don't listen to sound bytes only, although there are sound bytes of Trump at NRA-ILA Leadership Forum, ...

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas

Mitt or Sarah, where are you when we need you? :confused5 Mitt is busy bashing Trump these days. Sarah actually endorsed Trump, so, DT was good enough for her. I've said before and I'll say it again; ANY person on the elephant side is better then commie or the criminal. In the general election, DT ...

Re: Ted Cruz A Texas

I think Ted is a decent guy. He has no chance in general election however. Just my opinion. Too many drones floating in the electorate these days. By the way, fact that he retained his Canadian citizenship until just recently really irks me, as I renounced mine the second I was eligible for US citi...

Re: University of Texas dean quits school for job in Pennsylvania because of Lone Star state’s new policy allowing guns

I'd bet money that U of Penn recruited him for the Dean's position, and he would have taken it whether campus carry passed or not. He came from there, and obviously the Dean position is a step up in pay. I doubt seriously campus carry had anything to do with it, but like any typical liberal, he want...

Re: Senior U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia found dead

The official reason was released today. Obama had to stay home to begin his homework on Justice Scalia's replacement. As if any person he chose could touch Scalia's boot laces. Seriously, knowing Obama will try to replace him with someone who will destroy his life's work, it seems even more insulti...

Re: Denied Rigth To Vote...For Carrying Pocket Knife

It seems pretty clear to me. (7) "Knife" means any bladed hand instrument that is capable of inflicting serious bodily injury or death by cutting or stabbing a person with the instrument. Your knife is capable of inflicting serious bodily injury and death. One slice of the blade on somebod...

Re: Senior U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia found dead

We were also told by the other side that any negative questions about BO were racists... Justice Scalia died with pillow over his head. It's suspect. Not only to me, but to many very intelligent and highly qualified people. Mr. Poindexter, while I respect his service, is a friend of BO. That is a l...

I kind of hope that one can rest in peace after passing regardless of what is said about you by the still living. The only thing worse than irresponsible, ill-informed press speculation is irresponsible, ill-informed press speculation that happens to be accurate. I wish things were different. Only ...
